Spurs will look for wide runners to latch onto channel balls, that's been a repeat pattern for us this season, so I expect to see Werner, Kulysevski and B Johnson to be exploring that area a bit. Our soft-ish middle, their softish defence, could be a really good game today. 3-2 City, do them late in the game for revenge.

A repeat of the 6-2 home win in 1962/ 63 season ,or the 5nil which put Tottenham down in 1977 will do..... I'll settle for 1nil if need be. ; )

Speaking of 1977, I remember post match banter with a cocky spurs lad on the tube after they beat us WHL under Jose ...comments were flying back and forth on a packed tube ,and I was in a bad mood after drinking all day..and losing ..
The spurs lad was running his smug mouth off, something about City time in the lower divisions, I piped up with " remember when Spurs were relegated late 70s?"
The smug reply was I can't remember that far back mate...

So I switched attack...." but you know who Steve Perryman is don't you, your record appearance holder ?"
" of course I know who Steve Perryman is !!'


" well he was your captain when you went down .."

No response from him, and even his own mates laughed at him.
 
This is going to be a 5 - 1 demolition, everyone hunrting from the last 4 defeats amd it's going to be a masterclass.
 
Going 3-2 City, think it'll be a painful watch with very little control.

Hoping with Kovacic out we're forced to try something different that could potentially work until the end of the season or until January at the very least.

Weather won't help either, horrendous.
 
We have been conceding in most games and don't think this will be any different even with Spurs injuries.
Need KDB at 90% or better today to improve quality of supply to Haaland and linkup with Foden & wingers.

If you're namesake is firing, it re-instills fear in teams willing to have a go at us this season, leaving nice big Kevin shaped holes
 
3 points this evening would be great, get us back on track and put some pressure on Liverpool, ahead of their match. Foden down on FF as being 75% chance of playing?
