Yeah, and I‘d be happy to see Wright given his chance. But just can‘t see it happening, and there‘s no chance Pep will play him against Liverpool. So I‘d try to see whether Stones and Gundogan might work as some kind of functional pairing.

We need runners in midfield. Grealish has the work rate and legs to run up and down the pitch, same goes for Nunes. It’s alright having players who can control a game but if they can’t run back, what’s the point of them? Pep won’t go for it, but I think Grealish could do a good job there and my thinking is look at him permanently moving into that position.
 
TBH there was some elements of our game against Spurs that I liked and if we could do these parts for a full 95 minutes then I fancy us to buck the trend and win a game. That's my positvity over.

Walker is done for me as is Gundogan who's offered zilch since he's returned. I've got a 40 inch waist and could still outrun that guy in the middle of the park. And where is our press? It's been shit recently. As for clean sheets forget it. Defensively we're very easy to play against these days. We give up huge chances and invariably concede. Going forward if Haaland is not on fire we struggle to score. Savinho has talent but zero goal threat. Foden is a pale shadow of last season.

This team does know how to win and they will find the right ingredients to do so again. I just hope it starts tomorrow night because I don't want to go to Anfield on the back of 6 straight defeats because it will then be 7.....
 
Must win game this for so many reasons but most of all for UCL chance of progression.
People are forgetting we still have to go to PSG and Juve!

Winning on Tuesday is the main priority right now, We can't look beyond this game. We still have Juventus and PSG away so it's going to be difficult to qualify if we fail to win tomorrow.

No easy games for us right now. Let's put a good performance in tomorrow and get back on track.

The atmosphere is likely to be an issue as well with the ground unlikely to be full. Those of us in the ground need to try and help lift the players. Win this and we are in a better mindset for weekend. Winning is a habit we need to recover in this game.
 
If you go by that press conference Pep wants to play a 3 at the back with Akanji and Stones in midfield but he can’t since everyone is not fit.
