thank fuck for the lead as otherwise it was hard to watch. play this first half at Anfield and its gonna be ugly. intensity level needs to improve as opponents sense we are soft and slow and it just gives them more belief and speed.

I think he is playing quite well

He just disappears a bit too much for my liking. He went 20 minutes in that half where I don’t think he touched it. Grealish was just as disappointing. Started well but just fizzled out.

I started watching us when we had a great attcking side........1974..I think Summerbee Bell Lee Law and Marsh all on the same pitch once.. what an attcking five!!

Improvement on where we‘ve been. Looks miles better having Lewis just push into the centre next to Gundogan rather than 20 yards past him. And having Grealish and Bernardo out wide makes us better defensively.
Not quite clicking up top - too many touches and a few poor decisions let us down. Signs of Foden coming to life.

That half has seen Gundogan go through the 1,000 minute mark for the season and we’re still in November. I doubt he thought he’d be called on that much when he returned.
