Feyenoord (H) | CL | Post Match Thread

Anyone think it’s over? I mean the good times. All fallen apart since Rodders got injured. It just looks like the end.

Is it fuck. Think our owners are going to pack their bags and fuck off? If anything we get our rebuild far quicker than we would have if we'd have carried on picking up points every week.

Pep will sort it. Eventually. It'll come good

It's not 1998 anymore, even though it feels like it.

I think he could offer his resignation earlier, The team is done and players are looking like they are getting away with it and do not want to listen or fight, There is only so much Pep will take and if he feels it's done and the best for everybody he will walk

I am the first on here to back Pep and the players and I keep saying hang in and keep the faith it's ok to lose something, But you don't throw away a game of football at 3.0 up with 15 minutes to go. The the pain Pep shown on his face after the first sloppy giveaway goal said it all and at the end he looked done and ready to wave the white flag,

something has to give, it's pointless just coming out and saying all the right things, that went weeks ago, Now Pep needs to answer the hard questions and face the media and stop papering over the cracks,

It was all his doing tonight, He made a shocking switch with taking off Gundogan and Foden and bringing on 2 kids and KDB thinking it was done and dusted

I've just posted similar. That looked suspiciously like certain players downing tools. Even worse it looked like they fucked it up deliberately. Something is very wrong.
I disagree it was all Peps fault but after our awful run he should have kept it tight and just got a much needed win. Instead that has just destroyed any last spark of confidence we had.

I know, but I've been a City fan for over 50 years, and I was at York away, not much chance we'll get that bad again, I remember 1989 when stuffed the scum 5-1, no way did anyone see that coming, so you never know!
Yes we had lost to Brentford ( in a lower division ) in the LC midweek.

When was the last time you saw our players put in a challenge in the press, teams are being allowed to carry the ball and have time on the ball to pick a pass, Nobody wants to put in a tackle or rush the keeper.

Pep is the greatest manager in the world, BUT for the last 6 games he's let the players do whatever they like without fear of being dropped or subbed, If the players are not giving you 100% then play the kids and show who is the boss.

Eddy is not the GK you need right now when our defence is so fragile, every single shot goes past him, all well and good when we dominate teams and he can chip in with the odd fancy Dan pass but we need a shot stopper at this moment, even better play him and ortega in the net

Honestly, for those people not thinking we were in crisis - we are. ok?

3 goals on us in 15 minutes. Its inexcusable. Though he had a bad game against Spurs, I thought Gundo did better. But he got subbed out which I found curious. And for DeBruyne no less. Game turned from there. Gvardiol unlikely to see the pitch in the next game. If everyone is finally healthy, it should be Lewis-Dias-Akanji-Ake as a back line.

Likely not our year. I'll say it once, I'll say it twice - teams know how to play us. Pep will not adapt style of play - which is possession. League has turned more uptempo. Sit back, absorb pressure, and counter. I thought we played that well in the first half. We were moving around trying to get the ball back. But that disappeared in the second. Either because of old legs or I don't know.
Against a mediocre team..

All on pep
It’s not.
Pep didn’t stop them playing.
Pep didn’t make them make mistakes.
Pep didn’t make them stop trying.
Pep didn’t make them mentally weak.
Funnily enough as soon as their third hit the back of the net they all started running around like mad men.
Pressing, finding space and running.
Yes Pep made subs but there’s enough quality in that team (well there was) not to throw away a 3 goal lead.

Our next 6 games are horrible. Starting with Liverpool and ending with Utd. I’ve been very calm about all the losses, but this now feels absolutely foundational. It’s a real rot and I don’t know how you fix it
