Feyenoord (H) | CL | Post Match Thread

It’s not.
Pep didn’t stop them playing.
Pep didn’t make them make mistakes.
Pep didn’t make them stop trying.
Pep didn’t make them mentally weak.
Funnily enough as soon as their third hit the back of the net they all started running around like mad men.
Pressing, finding space and running.
Yes Pep made subs but there’s enough quality in that team (well there was) not to throw away a 3 goal lead.
Not in the subs there wasn't..

We play for 90 mins like we played for the first 70 tonight and we will give them some serious problems
its the last 20 I'd be worried about when the legs tire. Even if we were 1 up with 20 mins to go i wouldnt be overly confident we would stop them scoring 2 and that was before tonight

Just don't understand how anybody is blaming Pep for making subs at 3-0 up. We know the situation with the squad and all the injuries we have. There's no excusing the goals we conceded.
If we won 3-0 and he didn’t make subs people would be scream why didn’t he make subs with the game coming up at Liverpool.

What worries me is Pep saying he's not going to change his principles, well if he doesn't that contract will mean fuck all...

Why will it mean fuck all? So we go one year where things don't go well. So what? He's won 6 out of 7.

How quickly a lot of you turn against the team when we go through a bad patch.

Not after 20 minutes he won't, he may do after half hour when the 7th goes in though, it's going to be a cricket score on Sunday, they will annihilate us
It’s great odds for Liverpool to score over 5.5.
On current form they should have that In The first half.

Very odd behaviour from him tonight.

Sitting there with his head in his hands at 3-1. That’s not normal.

I feel he can see what we all fear and players are coasting and just doing the stuff that looks like they are trying
Pep looked done tonight and something is not right behind the closed doors,

Yes Pep is down to the bare bones and players have to play but when you see the workhorse B.Silva coasting and waving his arms around and pointing then something is wrong

I’d rather sell the entire squad and start a fresh with 30 new players with Pep still the manager, than get rid of him.

It’s the players who are fucking shit, not Pep. They’re the ones playing. We’ve created and missed enough chances to win half a season of games in the last six games (85 shots and 7 goals and no wins, to about 35 shots for the opposition yet 17 goals conceded and 5 defeats and a draw).

Like he always says ‘it’s the players who win the games and win the trophies’, much like it’s all on them to capitulate at 3-0 up with 14 minutes remaining. He’s just on the touchline.
