Dias yes, Walker no no no and no. Walker has always had great athleticism and pace which meant that if he made a mistake he could always recover because he was never the sharpest upstairs. He’s no longer as quick or able to recover soon enough from any sprints. His performances this season show he’s done at the top level.

That was hard to watch.

Defensive errors aside, what concerned me most was seeing our players’ heads drop after we conceded the second goal. It was like they were resigned to throwing it away again..

I know we have enormous injury concerns but the form of a large numbers of our players (Gvardiol, Foden, Bernardo in particular) is deeply worrying.

Thought Foden had a decent enough game. Gvardiol looked good up until the point he absolutely shat the bed. Bernardo was poor

No, I get that, but that's where he should have been. He wasn't brought on to play defence. He didn't come on to take Ake's position is what I mean, he came on to take Foden's.

I get that yes. But then again, what pep did there is leave a gap where the 6 should be. You've taken Gundo off for Debruyne. KDB isn't going to play the 6, he's going to play the 10. So if Pusey is going into Ake's spot, then that means either Lewis or Akanji have to move up or Nunes or McAtee have to drop down. From the last goal, Lewis and Pusey were back. Akanji was up. Gvardiol needed to step hard with that inswinging pass and he didn't. I don't think Lewis can play in the middle anymore. He starts out on the right, but then drifts inside. Its not working.

Its the problem that is killing us. We have no one in that pivot spot.

If you were a DOF and you see the manager staring, head down at the ground for nearly a minute when his team is leading 3-1 and they need some guidance and inspiration to see them over the line after FIVE consecutive losses, you may think the manager isn't doing his job properly.

If you're a DOF and you see Pep doing that you might be inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt.

We were in control for 70 mins. Very good overall performance. They didn't get much joy until after the subs and then the silly mistakes. If he starts the same team at Anfield as he did tonight we can get something there.

I think the most important stat is after 95 minutes it was a draw. It doesn't matter who's the best for 70 minutes or who has the most chances.

Tonight was silly mistakes but it was also pace - again - that we couldn't handle. It's a pattern now and Liverpool have bags of it. So do United.

If we play the way we played tonight at A field we will be thrashed. As soon as one goal goes in for them, we're punch drunk.

It's a real mess and it's hard to see what can be done.

My first season ticket was in the year under Pearce where we broke the record (perhaps still a record?) for least home goals scored in a season. If id been told then that in under 20 years time id be annoyed that we may not be i contention to make it 5 premierships in a row and perhaps not the favourites for champs league this season id have had you sectioned tbh. Get a grip all, is fine, all will be fine, we are unlikely to make it 5 in a row but thats about as bad as it gets.We will seriously challenge again as favourites next year for domestic league and champs league which is better than 99.9% of football fans in the world can say.
