Defend properly, like teams seem to when they come to the Etihad, throwing their bodies behind the ball and shithousing.

Get the ball forward to Erling at every opportunity, play like 80’s Wimbledon as we have no functioning midfield at the moment, and the defenders are shitting the bed when attacked.

Injure salah as soon as the opportunity arises.

Hope Stones and Dias are both fit enough to make the starting eleven. This is not a game for the young lads and Rico needs a rest after a ridiculous amount of games for club and Country.

Prefer Bernardo's energy in midfield, when KDB is out. Sadly isn't prolific enough from the forward positions, which isn't only a problem for him at the moment.

That team should be capable of being competitive at least.

We need to go into Sunday with a mindset of shithousing our way through the game and stinking the place out. It's not what I like to see but we need to get back to basics.

It's not a game for the luxury players like Doku, as much as when we're playing well I really love his energy and flair.

Don't think jacks hearts in it he's come to win trophies and build his name he's done it now if I thought he still wants to fight for his place try and prove he's first choice then he starts every week!! Just don't think he's arsed same with a few others that will be gone in the summer which a massive disappointment after everything they have give a fought for.

I know where you’re coming from, but I still think his style of play is better suited to what we need this weekend.

We need to stink the gaff out not play fast fancy football.

Allardyce the shit out of the match, kind of like what Arteta did to us last season IMO.

That team would never work for a Pep team. I like the idea, but there’s no control to that team apart from Bernardo and Foden .

My thinking is:
- The front 4 have enough to do something.
- The 2 centre half's at DM add height, physicality and Stones is better than some DM's out there running with the ball and passing and moving.
- Need to think defensively, we're shipping goals for fun.
- It's a short term solution.

Happy to add Grealish for De Bruyne and move Foden central when we need more control.

For me it's the height, physicality and defensive positioning of the midfield which is costing us, Stones and Akanji should help to bring that.

I know what u mean but can we play that way?? I doubt we can. As I said its not about the result for me get the players fighting for each other again and the results will start to take care of themselves very soon.

Pack the team with defenders. Back 6 without the ball. Haaland to tie up Van Dijk and Savinho to profit in behind.
If that doesn't work, play for set pieces.

Should be good enough for a 1-0 loss!
 
Is Eddie injured? I’d defo rest josko for this. Salad will have a field day up against him. Pains me to say it but Walker has to start.

Bizarrely we're still under 3/1 on b365.
Either no-one there has watched us recently, or they're assuming we'll make a Lazarus like recovery.
I wouldn't put money on us for Sunday at less then 5s - even then I'd probably be reluctant

That team may be as good as we can put out at the moment. Probably an argument for Grealish over Doku as in theory he should maintain possession better which is a huge issue at Anfield. There’s the hope that Liverpool away bring the best out of Silva but he’s not shove any form at all recently.

The worry for me is that our kryptonite at the moment is runners getting beyond our defence due to lack of pressure in midfield allowing time to pick passes. We’ve conceded a lot of goals this season from midfield runners and Curtis Jones has been very effective at that. Can’t see Gundogan or Nunes tracking those runs.
 
I hurt currently, but a lot of us FOCs have seen worse. Ake has to play lb (unless the scruffy bastard miraculously gets injured tonight). I would play Doku (if fit) v Robertson. Then Dias and as much height and people who can kick elsewhere.
