Might improve… deary me.

The losses started once we had no back up for Rodri, & no defenders or wingers.

We won when had Kovacic, a fit defence & 2 wingers.

So it’s not the players availability but the players who can play that position.

Ok poor choice of words. You WILL improve however I don’t think you will be that team that is capable of going on a 10 game winning run.

Rodri is that important the guy is a beast and improves the midfield dramatically

Pelegríne won the double in his first season! Seems the players are liking the new manager coaching philosophy management plus they have got a top quality squad!

Often you get a big lift after a bastard to a friendlier coach. Pelegrini after Mancini, even the paper boy after Mourinho but then it drops.

Dippers have joined that elite group of 60% of teams who have played Madrid in the CL this season and beaten them......
You’re the type of opposition supporter who 2 months ago was saying Liverpool would struggle during the upcoming fixtures and once we passed that test your narrative begins to change until when we finally do have a slip up (and over a 38 game season that is inevitable) you say there we go I told you so.

The truth is you are just completely clueless and are clutching at straws.

Also Imagine if Arsenal ever comfortably beat Real Madrid in a champions league match. The public holiday would be declared and upcoming bus parade sorted.

Meanwhile we know it’s been and gone and now have a far more important fixture this weekend. And that is the difference in mentality and why you have failed to win anything in recent years and will continue to do so.

Of course he improves it but you’ve basically written us off that we can’t do what we did without Rodri despite being the fact we did it before Rodri.

I still think we’ll win the title, once we’ve got numbers back we’ll get in the flow & you’ll know.

I think we will, too. The power of experience simply cannot be underestimated, and we have it in abundance.

Every season we have a period where we need 8 points behind at least. The issue is once we start winning & we get in the groove all the teams know we’re in it, couple of draws & their arses go.

This is why I’m so surprised so many have thrown in the towel so quickly and so easily. Like experience counts for nothing, almost like this is our first season ever challenging and we’ve fallen at the first hurdle. It simply isn’t the case.

We’ve been creating 20+ chances a game with no fit winger, CDMs & back 4 so once we get a fit team & we aren’t far off.

I think it’s the Rodri factor. He's just so important for us, as evidenced last season when the only games we lost were when he didn't play. If he were to return this month then I think people would be much more relaxed about how things are going. As he is out for another six months, people just cannot see light at the end of the tunnel.

I always thought with Pellegrini that he benefited from some 'muscle memory' after Mancini. That, together with his more chilled approach, ensured we won that double. Once the muscle memory wore off though, we went backwards.
Slott may well win it this year in fact multiple trophies, however if certain players leave rebuilding is when you find out how good he is.

You could say the same with Guardiola in regards to the rebuilding comment. If he shows KDB, Bernardo, Gundogan, Stones, Walker & Ederson the door in the summer and has to rebuild the team it will be interesting to see what he does and if he even hangs around.

In 22/23 we lost 4 games in the league & Rodri played in them all. (I’ve ignored last game when league was wrapped up)

The 1 league game he missed we put 6 past the Rags.

Rodri isn’t available & no other club has Rodri so the idea is winning with what’s available. Kovacic was shocking when he first tried to cover as was Rodri.

Rodri has only played 60 mins this season, it only became an issue when we lost another 10 players.

We’ve got the greatest coach in the world & the players are coming back. We are 1 point off where we were last season.

Like I said I call it how I see it but I think IF you go behind 11 points after this weekend in addition to the non Rodri factor I think your title challenge is done.

If you do win this weekend that changes everything.

Peps proved he’ll stay & he’s proved he can build squads. I also think Liverpool have shown they can rebuild, less about the individual & more about the structure.

11 points & 25 games to go, we’ve done it before.

Out on an all day session yesterday so from about 6 they started to appear in the pubs and all they could do was go on about city and how bad we are now...on and fucking on and on.......
The good times for us have left them mentally scarred and not one of them was confident that they would beat us on Sunday, when we were at our best they seemed more vocal and confident as the underdog.
Taxi home at eight so missed sitting through their game, thankfully.

Whatever. It's pretty obvious you're the recent sign up here who also registered as bridgeno2 to start trolling and you've already started trolling the City fans which isn't a smart move on a City forum mate.

Our problems are very similar to Madrid, imho. Watching them last night without Militao, Carvahal, captain gone, Kroos gone and Modric on the edge, their two most dangerous players missing. The two best teams in the world 18 months ago both taking their eye off the ball.

Don’t think I have trolled City fans once mate. Please provide evidence of when I have done so?
