Not sure what pep will do tomorrow but the physicality of our midfield is a worry. Obviously no replacement for Rodri and kovatic is another miss. Do we sacrifice someone and put Akanji in there holding ? Can’t say it has worked previously when he has stepped into midfield but fear we may be overrun there. Need all to step up tomorrow, put a shift in , and try to get through without any of the childish defensive mistakes of the last few games.
Last thing we need is to play too high against these with there long diagonals and be exposed too easily.
Come on City!!

I’ll have one of what you’re drinking please.
Hadn't touched a drop, but i did smoke something for the first time in a long long time.

Now I've come back to earth i will say dippers 7-0 (2 penalties, Bernie sent off and Pep taken to hospital.)

"In the build-up to the showdown, some Liverpool fans are hoping to recreate previous iconic scenes where they have gathered outside Anfield before the game to try and intimidate the City coach as it arrives at the stadium."

ICONIC? Fucking iconic? Pathetic MUEN copy/paste job from the Dipperpool Echo.

I bet Pep cant wait for another "iconic" moment as the spit rains down on him.

Our medical staff are queuing up for another "iconic" attack whilst helping a striken Scouser (debatable decision IMHO).

As for the return match, so looking forward to more "iconic" scenes, maybe another Blue kid scarred for life by the feral scumbags.

Iconic? Fucking iconic. Fuck right off.

Moronic would be a better adjective, if there is actually anyone with a brain at the MUEN.

Or maybe...Dirty. Scouse. Cunts.
The attack out coach, then attack our other coach throwing coins at Pep, they throw weighted cups at our fans, they hack our scouting system and they always get away with it.
Press never pick up the stories or twist it like in this scenario. The city hierarchy never make a big song and dance about it either.

Theyre scum, as a kid i used to wonder why the rags hated them so much.

As for the MEN its a joke with no readers.
I’d respect the club a lot more if they started booting the hostile media out of press conferences. Starting with the failed journalists from the MEN.

I wish I knew why the dippers are a protected species.

Since we lose this fixture every year it's not worth getting too upset about it. Just hope we avoid a fisting. Whatever, I won't be watching. I've suffered enough the last few weeks. Forrest is a more important fixture for us. If we can't compete at home against them then we are truly fecked.

I think just put Akanji or Nunes in Rodri's position and hope for the best. At least they have a bit of mobility and pace. Maybe put someone like Bernado alongside them and play a double pivot or whatever they call it.

Put Gundo back there on his own as a direct replacement for Rodri or Kova and the dippers will stroll past him.

Very hard to know what sort of team we can put out tomorrow. If Dias plays we have a chance. We can’t afford to have Walker start. Pep is going to have to come up with some workable midfield. Hate the match in Anfield every season so we usually underperform. Hope we can get a performance tomorrow.

And they tore into City fans for allegedly writing murdering kopites on that bog door, when we all know no City fans would refer to them as kopites ffs

This is normally the most nerve wracking fixture of the season, but I’m pretty relaxed about it this year. In the past there’s been an awful lot riding on it, and a hope that we can get a result there. This season my expectations are non existent, so the pressure is off in that regard. Just get this out of the way and move on to Forest. Still think it’s incredible that they are odds against for the win.

I really think we will be okay tomorrow. We have the best manager we could ever ask for and in Pep we trust to sort it out.

I love the positivity. I was looking at some of the absolute doom in the press, and on here, and thought I'd remind myself of that run when Liverpool lost a few in a row.

It was later in the season in 2020/21, and was much worse than our current form, and worse than I remembered. They lost 6 out of 7 in the league, and had a run of six home league defeats in a row. Yet once it finished, they ended the season taking 26 out of the last 30 points, including scoring 3 at the Emirates, and 4 at Old Trafford. All it took was a few injured defenders, and a lack of fans, and the team pretty much collapsed for a few months.

The following summer, they only bought Konate, who then spent most of the season injured. So, the same players who had gone on that abysmal run, won the FA Cup, the League Cup, reached the CL final, and finished one point off us in the league.

It might not happen tomorrow, but considering all our defenders have been injured, or playing while carrying injuries, there's no way this run justifies the 'end of an era' nonsense.

Sorry but if Lewis starts we will lose.
Did you see what Luis did to Walker last year? Or what has every winger done to him for the previous two years?

I prefer Akanji, but he's looked so uninterested all season that I left him out of my XI all together.

We still have the bookies running scared.... somehow
