Not buying into this mass negativity.Sorry and all that as my Dad says but even if i thought we were going to get a pasting I wouldn’t ever admit it.
First time in ages that I’m worried we will get done but we wont be and hark now hear 1-4 City.

We've gone to Clanfield at pretty much full strength, full of confidence and with high expectations over the last few years, and won the square root of fuck all.

Maybe, just maybe, going there with half a team, no confidence and low expectations might just be the key to the kingdom.

Up the fucking Blues.

Here we go..oh
City 115 in a row.

Got to go into with a positive attitude, it’s 11 v 11 and Forrest won here this season there is no reason to doubt that this team can turn it around, there has been lots of positives in every game we lost or drew of late maybe we get a bit of luck for a change here Of course we can win
Positives from the spurs game?

The fact it didn't end up 7 or 8 nil?

I love the positivity. I was looking at some of the absolute doom in the press, and on here, and thought I'd remind myself of that run when Liverpool lost a few in a row.

It was later in the season in 2020/21, and was much worse than our current form, and worse than I remembered. They lost 6 out of 7 in the league, and had a run of six home league defeats in a row. Yet once it finished, they ended the season taking 26 out of the last 30 points, including scoring 3 at the Emirates, and 4 at Old Trafford. All it took was a few injured defenders, and a lack of fans, and the team pretty much collapsed for a few months.

The following summer, they only bought Konate, who then spent most of the season injured. So, the same players who had gone on that abysmal run, won the FA Cup, the League Cup, reached the CL final, and finished one point off us in the league.

It might not happen tomorrow, but considering all our defenders have been injured, or playing while carrying injuries, there's no way this run justifies the 'end of an era' nonsense.

Reading the press you’d think we’ve only got 1 injury.

Which would mean 11 points behind and out of the top 4 - No, nothing to worry about……

The fact that if we took our early chances, like most games, it could and probably would have been a different result We just made stupid individual mistakes that were turned into goals against, just like most games

Growing a quiet confidence about this. We're rank underdogs who everyone expects to lose comfortably, so should be able to go out there with some freedom. Tipping Bernardo to have a big one.

Dreading it.

Hope we don’t play into their hands by trying to control the ball. They want us to. Will invite us onto them and then nail us on the counter. Every team does it anyway but the dippers team and personnel are made for that exact tactic. Plus we don’t particularly have the players - right now - to control the ball. Especially away against a good team.

Hope we just let them have it and sit deep. Play them at their own game and use Haaland’s pace and maybe get pace around him (Savinho/Doku against a flailing Robertson would be ideal) when we counter.

Either way. Don’t fancy us at all really. Nothing in the past month suggests they’ll lose or we’ll win. So it’d be…typical…if we got something out of it.

Will be watching from behind the sofa.
