FA Cup R3 | Salford City (H) | Sat 11 Jan 1745

Leyton Orient and Accy Stanley are top of my away Cup draw wish list.
Same and can add Harrogate Town. Needed to play Orient for time as was one of the few I needed to get the 92 grounds watching City and then to complicate things Crawley, Stevenage, Fleetwood, Barrow, Morecambe, Bromley and Salford City turned into wanted Cup away opponents as all new to us, Cheltenham I went but another story(not that game we weren't allowed !!).

The trouble with never getting relegated anymore is you just end up going to the same old grounds, year after year. Even the promoted clubs are nearly always teams who’ve not long since being relegated and you’ve been there a thousand times already.

So the 3rd Round is the best chance of the year for a good old fashioned day out.

I’m hoping for something like Accrington, Morecambe, Salford or even Stockport, away.

If not that, then a big club who’ll give us 9,000 tickets.

Anything but a boring home game against a middling Championship side really.

Deary me. Top 4 over a trophy? Never.
Unfortunately the money from the CL dwarfs everything else in modern football.
Liverpool won both domestic cups and the UEFA Cup in 2001 (IIRC) and one of the directors was asked which was the highlight. HIs answer was "finishing fourth" as that generated the most cash.

Hope it’s a home game to a lower league team.

Want to take my 5 year old to her first game and could do with there being little/no jeopardy! (And cheap tickets)

That's what makes the FA Cup for me.

Upto round 3 there's plenty of variety thanks to non league teams in the mix.

So called small team against a big boy, along with cheap tickets get the ground full and helps the opposition stay economically stable for years.

I can’t see us playing the rags mate.

Even worse, it will be Rag this, Rag that. Note how the 3rd round draw last season was not held at the holders (us) stadium. No surprise given the BBC though its at their beloved Rags.

The draw will be conducted from Old Trafford, the home of the current holders Manchester United, and be broadcast live on BBC Two and iPlayer from 19:00 GMT as well as our official Emirates FA Cup social media channels.

Kelly Somers will present the draw, with Mark Hughes and Dion Dublin on hand to pick out the team balls.

When BBC host the draw, in most recent years, they've gone to the home of the current holders for the Third Round. This one isn't an agenda, sorry.
