We've had a miserable few weekends.

Due to many injuries, some players have played a lot recently, lost several games and confidence. It's like a downward spiral. We'll come back, though. We've got a lot of quality not to.

We have been hit by a perfect storm of adversity as the current World Club & PL Champions.

1)Five consecutive, fabulously successful intense, seasons in which we won every trophy in world football,including the PL for a record four consecutive seasons.

2) We had the most players who played the most games of any club at the euros.

3 Many players returned injured or half fit and mentaly and physicaly fatigued.

4) Losing Rodri the finest player on the planet.

5) Phil disappearing.

6) A succession of injuries to 12 players right across the team.

7) Due to shortages,half fit players having to play out of position only to get injured again.

8) Missing scorable chances, conceding soft chances.

9) Confidence knocked, uncertainty abounds.

10) Circle the wagons, say nowt, clear heads, get all the squad fit and in condition. 24 PL games to play, FA & CL knockouts to come.

Really difficult for pep today! Do we go for it from the off & create an end to end game or frustrate them & try the counter attack for a change!

With confidence, energy & options available I’m not sure we can do either.

Either way a point means nothing for us now so go for 3 points I say.
