Poor lineup. Poor strategy. Poor performance. People can pretend that Pep isn't culpable & blame injuries but no one should have expected anything different from that lineup, with Nunes on the left. We should have been set up to be difficult to beat but we have a turgid midfield (which is nothing new and has been exposed repeatedly), a slow build up which is easy to mitigate and play a high line. At Anfield.

I expected it to be shite, but I at least thought Pep might do something pragmatic.

Being happy going in 1-0 down is embarrassing enough; the persistent Lewis tactic is baffling, enough data to show how it unbalances the shape as literally just have to wait and pounce when dragged across…

Yes we are threadbare but the system only ever works with a conditioned engine, we look like a boxer well past his best, with only a punchers chance left in the repertoire…

5 players wrong side of 30 and it shows
any change can help? or you think this game basically over?

Just seen their goal. Why the fuck was nobody on the back post??

Looking at the highlights they should be at least four up. For us it looks like damage limitation. I can't see anybody on that field or on the bench that can turn this around.

Could've been much worse, especially after the first 15 minutes. Need to get Doku or Savinho (or Grealish) on for Nunes, as he's offered nothing. De Bruyne on for either Gundogan or Bernardo too. Still can't see us getting anything out of this, as we have zero threat going forward, but we need to at least test their keeper.
Could've been. For once I want to see Pep proactive at the start of a second half, we'll see.

He's not lost anyone. They're still running for him, they're still playing his game, just the legs have gone. It's sport. It happens to the greatest. And this team has been the greatest.
His team were the greatest without question but he has clearly lost a few here, something is clearly not right.

This is more than injury and fatigue.

Nah. Frankie Clark’s Wingless Wonders were embarrassing.

I don't know what some of you were expecting coming into this

We have a paper thin, injured, old and tired squad. Not much is going to change until we get some players back and reload in the coming windows
Football is about today. Not tomorrow.
