FA Cup R3 | Salford City (H) | Sat 11 Jan 1745

Don't see it as that much of a problem of course at lot of rags in Salford will probably turnout, could make for a great atmosphere. When Fleetwood played Blackpool in the cup when they were a nonleague team in the 80s the whole town turned out putting aside rag and dipper allegiance for the day. If the MIB want trouble they can find it in town after any of our home games and they know that's not a pain free experience. Hope it's a good day for everyone.

Interesting to note the discussion regarding how many tickets we should receive for this game. Obviously the close proximity of our two clubs will bring out the usual 'once in a lifetime' attendees which is always the case when lower level teams receive a glamour tie in the FA Cup although I'd much rather have this scenario with people coming for a 'day out' rather than 'others' there just to cause aggravation. Interesting to note that our average away following in the EFL last season was 188 with the highest being 674 (at Stockport County) and the lowest 56 (at Gillingham). I'm pretty sure we have something like 1000 season ticket holders.

There are loads of Manchester teams:

Obviously, City
FC United
Wythenshawe Town
West Disbury and Chorlton
Abbey Hey
Maine Road
Wythenshawe

That’s in the top ten tiers. Then even more from tier 11 down.

Wythenshawe Town were on the BBC in the First Round Proper last month.
I apply a wee difference here. There are plenty of teams from Manchester but they should include Manchester in their name and exclude the word Yoonited!

Think GMP might decide its a risk having 6k wannabe hooligans rock up.
Plus Im hoping City see it as a day to get young kids into the ground with parents, really dont want a bunch of no marks in Black ruining the day.

I think the club will give them the usual 3,000.
More than enough for the amount of fans they get - i think the police will advise City otherwise you will have 4,000 or 5,000 rags turning up looking for trouble
Plenty of excuses incoming from our lot if we give Salford 3,000 tickets and offer very low prices, but with purchase history required.

Ahh, what a surprise.

Gary Chuckle has stepped back from fronting up Salford city. They thought it was going to be an easy ride getting them up the football league and has been shown up by Hollywood celebs in Wrexham who don’t know the offside rule with their progress. Now there’s a glamour game in the offing the twat will be back to promote himself.

Look at Salford and Wrexham's accounts.

The former are spending/losing less but still £2.5m loss to stand still they will never get back. It stops being fun then and Lim got out. They will probably have £16/17m net liabilities now, multiple times the club's worth.

Wrexham have a possible end game where they are building a big team for the future for north Wales, and it may or may not come off, but they have a brighter future than Salford.
