His involvement in the build up was nice to see.

However, his movement, or more lack of it, when the ball is coming into the box is shocking at the minute. Whether he has just given up on getting a good delivery, I don't know. Or whether it is an instruction to stay at the back post? He just isn't attacking the near post at all and there was a number of times last night that the ball was played into a position he would have been in in his first season here.

anytime i search for him in the box he is just kind of lazily hidden behind a defender yes

Doku put 2 great balls along the 6 yard line and where was Haaland? In his defence though, he often makes a run and the ball doesnt come and then it looks like hes out of position when it does come in but in reality he had made a run.

Second defence, it must be a nightmare trying to figure out when Doku is going to release it :)

Weirdly for a master poacher, his movement in the box seems to have gone to shit - certainly wasn't like this at the start of the season. All round his game was much improved last night though. I think he'll enjoy being involved more if we can bring him into play a bit more

Nah, I think he often underestimates Doku's capacity to get out of a tight spot or jam. He needs to make the run every time. Coz Doku does run himself into a cul-de-sac often. But on some occasions finds a way out of it.

Haaland has to act like every time is the time he'll do it.

I've mentioned before that he needs to make that near-post run more. He constantly goes to the outside.

He still looks half at it, his movement has been really poor recently and he's actually getting chances, good ones, every game which he's not converting

Frustration, fatigue or something else, he needs to give his head a bit of a wobble and get back to finding the net

It's only gonna be so long before he starts getting back to his best, his big chances missed is unsustainable for someone as good as finishing as him

Him and Gvardiol need to communicate more.

We did put some crosses into them where they got in each others way.

There has to be more to his game than waiting for a tap in.

Motionless a lot of the time, throwing his arms about, head down and general shit body language.

A far cry from the Aguero days who could do everything and anything he wanted to.

Well, my prediction that we would be worse with him than without him was a year late, and we did win a treble with him, but we're undeniably worse overall with him leading the line.

His body language was a disgrace. Pep needs to let his balls drop and take him off occasionally.
