I don't know where to start.
I don't do Facebook or any crap like that.
But I really feel we need to start a protest .
A coming together of all fans all clubs.
Enough is enough.
Real fans are been priced out of going to games.
It's having a negative effect on the atmosphere and the experience of going to games.
I've been priced out this season after 30 years .
I've given my ticket to mate for this season..next season I either move to the 3rd tier and don't sit with my dad.
Or I don't go again.if it carries on I will be out of the habit of going.
It's been my life since 1984.
Our owners have given me more than I ever dreamt possible but at a cost.
I don't feel like it's my club anymore and I want city and football back.
Let's get some demonstration going not against our owners but against where footballs going.
It belong to the fans.
The real fans not the ones with the half and half scarves and barca shirts at Anfield.
The real fans who will be there if we're shit again one day.
Grimsby away.
Macc away.
Laughing stock all over the country..but we stayed together.
It's time to come together now .

Feel your pain mate and it wont get any better.

There was a time when every victory we had was lived vicariously by us fans but don't you get the feeling sometimes that the club celebrate trophies and awards in a very corporate selfish way and us fans have become more of an irritant?

I’ve thought about giving my season ticket up.
I’ve seen it all now. It’s been a blast. Thank you Sheikh Mansour.(but now you want your money back, which is understandable)
But out of bedevilment, I won’t let the City turn my season ticket into a match day ticket, so they can sell my seat to a tourist, a day tripper or a football fan for double the price.
I’ll keep hold of my season ticket, and next season I’ll drop platinum, and all the cup schemes. I’m not arsed anymore about my loyalty points falling away.
The buzz of going to watch City at the Etihad has gone.
The Etihad is now a soulless, contrived, quiet, security driven, cheese fest, match day experience, driven by the club and it’s number one priority, revenue growth.
My revenue growth will be a season ticket, a pint, at that’s it.

I fully agree about prices. we are all either stupid enough or probably more likely addicted enough to pay it until it really becomes unacceptable for our personal circumstances. The addictive element is a real issue, you feel a real bond with the club and want to be involved in everything they do and that is ultimately exploited but there is no regulation around this as there is with other addictions.

The more successful your club is the worse the exploitation is as you pay more (Platinum) to ensure you get a chance of getting tickets to a final etc.

I love the club and it has given me so much enjoyment through the bad and good times but the cost is becoming hideous. I pay for my own and 3 kids tickets and we have really good seats, I can’t opt out of that for fear that will end up only being able to get seats at the back of the 3rd tier somewhere for some obscure game and pay top whack for those tickets.

The hassle of getting to the game either due to traffic issues or normally how inept the tram system is further takes the enjoyment of attending away. Am I less of a fan, or live the club less- no.
Do I enjoy going as much as I did previously -no

I feel dropping out of the cup schemes may change my opinion as there are just too many games but by doing that I have a much reduced chance of getting reasonably priced and positioned tickets for a final which ultimately leads to me not dropping out of the schemes but praying whenever there is a cup draw. To draw some lower league team and smash them.

What really drives me mad about attending the game and I think drives the sanitised environment at the stadium is the fact that at the start of every half time, no matter the predicament of the game they feel it is necessary to lecture us all for about 5 mins about how smoking or vaping is not permitted and racist, homophobic etc language is not tolerated.. I think we all know this before attending. There is no need to lecture everyone each half time. It could have been the best 1st half but is immediately dragged down due to these messages

Dead right, should play that message on the turrets or in the toilets where it might be heard by someone who needs to hear it.

Thankfully I always miss it because I'm finishing my pint ;-)

Exactly this——- I dropped platinum and the cup schemes except CL two seasons back kept CL for Wembley now dropped that too
My main reason for stopping cup schemes and platinum was for some strange reason my points never got me an away ticket about 4 seasons back never missed aways before that then suddenly noticed most aways were infested with tourists
I’m only really keeping my season ticket going for my lad so he can take his son on grandads ticket probably starting next year
Apart from pre match booze in town every home game I won’t miss not going to the match might claim it back for the odd derby or other games when grandson won’t be able to go like late kick offs etc
Last season did it for me this ticket transfer business tried it once then found out they sell my ticket for about £70 then the cheeky bastards bank that for about 40 fucking days before giving it to you
I remember Swales attempts and then Lees obsession with attracting corporates and seeing how that fucked the Platt Lane and Kippax ripping the soul out of Maine Road
Etihad didn’t have much soul to start with but it did have 48k predominantly lifelong mancs in it every game
I see more old boys in town boozing than at the ground every week

Price of success. We've had an excess of season card holders due to ineptitude throughout the 1990's, early 2000's. Want to watch the best? Pony up or someone else will.

Fortunately I'm a legacy fan now (WTF), just keep rolling the season ticket over until I appear on a banner with the other lost Blues.

It's every club though isn't it? Football fans as a whole are being fleeced.

I've been priced out this season after 30 years .

You said you’ve been priced out and may need to move next season in your first post.

I'm actually in a position fir once in my life when I can afford my ticket.
For years my dad had to help me out with the cost.
But now I can afford it.
but in your next say that you can afford it.

Have I missed the gist of that or something?

We are seen as old style fans. We have a few beers and a pie that's it.
City want fans to spend hundreds of pounds every visit, well we do but not in the club shop. We spend it on tickets, travel cost, beer, food sometimes a stay over.
Now it's getting beyond a joke pay 35quid to get a matchday card. Spend hours on line trying to get tickets, than you can't get tickets sat with each other, only singular seats at ridiculous prices.

This season is going to be the first season in decades where I have been to so few matches. It's looking to be around 6 home and away. We would normally do around 15 games but we just can't get the tickets or the price is to high.

It's a bloody shame as it also means we don't get to see each other much nowadays as we are all over Kent. We all use to park up near Medway than car share to the game. Us FOC all retelling the same old stories of being shit and travelling all around the country and the scraps we use to get in, good old times.

We didn't get many points we got our tickets by hook or by crook. For over a decade got tickets though a company that supplied the materials for the pitches. That company always had 4 tickets together. We even got 'away' tickets as the also had 4 tickets at villa park

The club seem intent on forcing out all us FOC and our kids and families. From season ticket holders to fans living miles away on matchday membership.

We simply don't spend enough at the club, for decades the club wanted us and our pennies.

My City clothing comes from China but mostly of Vinted get some great bargains of there if you like the old stuff.

I'm not sure how much notice the club will take.

Us working class fans are fading away just like our City tattoos

Will every one on here be at the Cup game against Salford??

I do feel a lot of Blues have given the club’s admin an open goal to take the piss on home tickets with the obsession on away tickets and ticket points. The Club didn’t need to divide and conquer. Fans did it for them.

Just a few suggestions:
Use the Face Value ticket pages and not the official ticket exchange. The latter reinforces overpricing fans for tickets.

Take advantage of Blues making cheap or free tickets available like against Forest.

Join your local OSC Branch if you aren’t already a member. Share spares amongst members.

Join WhattsApp Groups with mates for sharing spares.

Just a few thoughts

There could only be succesful pressure applied if it was done on a national basis through the FSA . Clubs in the championship do not even have the £30 tickets for away fans and if we were to find ourselves back down there, for whatever reason, we would be a prime target for very high prices. Presumably there must be some presence from the OSC at the FSA but I must admit I have never heard anything fed back about any proposals to challenge the clubs on their pricing strategies. German fans have shown that the clubs will back down in the face of protests but it has to be every club involved and has to involve a lot more than waving a banner outside the ground . Personally, I would be getting the tennis balls out at every game and stopping all games in the top two leagues on 30 minutes (on the basis £30 is more than a fair price for tickets) until the clubs agree to actually engage with fans (and not in the way city fob fans off with city matters) and/or reconsider their policies on pricing.

It will never happen but would be interesting if all fans boycotted a game just once to see the effect this would have on the club/game,the publicity it would gain would be useful.
