Good finish for his goal but once again someone on X put a compilation of Ruben's last ditch defending (brilliant bTW) and the constant thing I noticed was in every clip Rico was jogging back. Ask supporters from other teams what they think of him - I have and they all seem to think he's not that good (being polite there)

Pep loves him but for me the loyalty he has shown to both Walker and Rico has led us to where we are right now. I really am not sure if he will ever become a city legend let alone a regular.

We have a new scapegoat.
he should consider hitting the weights a little bit more if he doesn't want to get bullied off the ball every single game.

Take a look at doku, he looks much more muscular than when he first came.

The problem for Rico is he isn’t exceptionally quick, he isn’t very tall, he isn’t a great header of the ball. He is though a very intelligent footballer who understands systems that Pep wants to play. He reminds me a bit of Ian Brightwell in that he doesn’t really have a position you would say he can nail down as his own. At the moment he isn’t currently good enough to be first choice, if everyone is fit, full back or a midfielder. Not sure what his best position is really. He will make a good living out of football, not sure it will be at City though

Maybe he'll become an attacking midfielder.
Too late for that.

Sometimes he even struggles to kick the ball with power. He is very unique type of player.

I noticed that he had a similar situation last year playing a lot before Christmas. Pep dropped him then in our winning run. I expect the same this year. However he will play more as Kyle offers nothing, defending or attacking.

Lewis isn’t a defender. Too small physically which he can’t help. He uses his body the best he can.

He absolutely does not. Bernardo is the same size, David Silva was too, when did you ever see them getting bullied off the ball so easily and regularly? The one thing he doesn't do is use his body as best he can. It's not a physicality issue, if he's getting beat in the air by a guy that's a foot taller than him, that's physicality he cannot help. Not being able to shield the ball is just a poor understanding of the basics.
