Darts 2024

There’s something magical about the Lakeside venue that Ally Palace doesn’t have.

Absolutely. I think it's just the right size to have a good atmosphere without just feeling like a massive hall where not everyone is quite connected to each other. It's basically a huge pub.

It was great to see it rammed again yesterday evening.

I think I need to put some beers in the fridge...

1st leg of the Girls...pretty good standard.

Both were one dart away from getting tonnes plus finishes.

Edit - And the second leg... Almost saw a 147 taken out.

A story of missed doubles.

Yep.

They both could've taken out some big checkouts and the scoring was decent as well. A few dodgy turns here and there.

Paige looks like she could be a cracking player in a few years time. Maybe up there with Beau and Fallon etc.

It looks like Beau is going to destroy Sophie in the final unless all those missed doubles are turned into big finishes.

Boys showing the nerves a lot more imo. The games are all over the place. Thought Jenson was going to piss it after the first leg but it looks like he's lost his bottle...

Going all the way. Decent standard now.

Quite like the clear flights.

Easy win for Beau in the end, but it would have been interesting if McKinlay hadn’t let the nerves get to her in the second set. The three missed darts at double 10 pretty much ended the game as her head has gone.

Yeah I switched it off after Beau went 2-1 up. Beau was always massive favourite so no surprises there. I hope she decides to make the next step and start playing the men next.

Glad he got the one set at least.

He was never going to compete with the 95 average that McGuirk has dished out throughout the tournament. And he's kept that going in the final as well.
Missed darts to win the first set and hasn’t really been in it since, but was nice to see him win a set.

Lim wants to come back next year after saying this one was his last haha.

I don't blame him. If he's fit and still playing to a good level then why not.
