The key to this game, like every other game recently, is who we have at the back 4 and in midfield. If we play 4 CBs, so any of Akanji, Dias, Stones, Ake, Gvardiol (all of them subject to availability), we win. That, of course, only if we have an existing midfield as well, so anyone but a Gundo-Lewis combination. I like the look of Jack in midfield, maybe Kova is back as well. Add KDB to that and there we have it.

We have only won one game in ten, so there is a reason for that, we can't play the same way and expect a different outcome. Let's play like we did vs Forrest, it worked well, and I am sure it would work against United as well.

Pep said last night he was happy with the control and pacing of the game, but we just lacked that killer touch. There is no way we will change anything up, usually we go more control led against United even when we’re in top form.

we will try and break the game into a controlled defensive masterclass where we limit translations which is where they are best suited.

The problem we seem to have is in attack we have no players when the balls actually put in the box, while in defence we are usually outnumbered. Therefore most our players are gathered in their half trying to keep the ball without doing anything of note. Therefore not contributing to us scoring or not conceding.

I’m fairly numb to this run of form now though, but if we do lose to this dog awful united team Pep will come under huge pressure in the press.

I think we can’t blame injuries for 1 win in 10 as on paper we still have the better players than teams we are playing against. We lack players in there prime, apart from Dias, Foden and Haaland (who hasn’t stepped up like he should), bring on the rebuild.
