I'm not an accountant and I lack the expertise to make much sense out of any set of accounts. What I do know, though, is that City have had to face charges of escalating gravity from UEFA and the PL going back well over a decade. In all that time the club's reply has been a blunt "business as usual" and what business they have done! I'm talking now about off the pitch business: a larger stadium (13000 bigger than when we "moved in"), a hotel, a world class concert hall and a campus which is a world leader. All this has been achieved with the help of growing, record revenues and investment from our partners. This has provoked howls from certain rivals and from their fearful allies in the football authorities. At no point, though, has there been a word, nor even a whisper of protest or complaint from our accountants or auditors. Or even our partners. And these latest accounts are the same. Only slack Alice and tragic hat seem concerned. It seems business as usual is set to continue.
