A quick look on Sad Cafe and they don't seem at all upbeat about their chances
"Clash of the shite'uns" was a comment I read.

Quite funny.

It's not very often that City are there for the taking, but Amorim has a squad full of punch drunk misfits.

Home advantage could come into play here.

Gone for a draw because I can't bear to think we could lose against these and just can't see us winning. We are stretched a bit thin, please don't play a high line against pacey forwards Pep.

Is there any chance of getting this called off

Weather ? Electric failure ? Riots ? Fake Bomb left in the loo ? Zebra Pants and the Green and Gold gang ?

Could be chaos this. Our weaknesses are glaringly obvious and they're fucking shite. We need to defend the box much better, not just run back and ignore opposition players and we need to be more patient and sensible in possession.

We are the 12th man. Demand the standards we expect if a City team in the derby and smash those bastards.

They could be 14th and only 7pts above the relegation zone if we win and others down the bottom do, whilst keeping ourselves in the top 4.

If we don’t turn these fuckers over then we have definitely fell apart. Come on City.

Man utd to punish shambolic Man City screams the sky betting ' expert' on their app. Fuck me, anybody would've thought they were smashing everyone in their path with that pathetic headline. If anything it could've read shambolic Man utd to punish shambolic Man city

I think almost any team atm would have a very good chance of beating us given our injuries. If the actual players who do play could find a fraction of their real form we'd fare better but Bernardo, Gundogan, Walker, KDB etcetera are unrecognisable from the players we know they can be. Add Ederson to that list too, but at least we can put Ortega in who's slightly better. Foden when fit has also been anonymous, Doku and Savinho inconsistent, although Doku is faring better. Grealish is just Grealish, works hard but little end product. We will struggle until we can play a fully fit first choice defence.

FFS I hope our players don’t share the same attitude as on here and think they have lost the game because the ref is bent, United who have been shit are suddenly title contenders and the only chance of avoiding defeat is if a big storm arrives and the match is postponed.

Nahhh…they will want to prove to everyone they can get back to being good again and will want these 3 points just as much as the fans want the 3 points.

If we have to get 3 points with a depleted team so be it, we will have to do it the hard way. Hard work and a determination to win, the backbone of how this team won 4 in a row.

A week off after this game, go all in and destroy the fuckers
And although I may sound harsh, instead of giving them all a week off have a ruddy weeks ( 5 straight) days training sessions to practice pks, shooting outside the box, corners, throw ins, defending corners. Honestly we are dross at all these pieces ATM.

Pep is a class manager but I thought he’d have changed things round a bit before now.

When 2-3 of your main CBs (Stones, Ake, Akanji, Dias was out too) are injured and both the 1st and 2nd choice for the DM position (Rodri and Kova) are unavailable, plus one of your most reliable defenders is past it and very poor (Walker), there is no magical solution.

Trying to play like a small team with a low block isn't acceptable. Plus, it's a tactics that you can't learn or adopt without preparation. Pep has coached the team to play a particular style of football that is incompatible with cheaply surrendering possession and relying on counters.

Even if changing tactics is useful in the short term, it may be counterproductive in the long term. You can't give up on your identity without any consequences. Our style has won us a treble, a quadruple, 4 in a row, etc. It's pointless to change it every time we go through a difficult period.

Remember, we lost 3 from 4 league games in December 2018, many were writing us off. Then we won 18 from the next 19 games. You stick to your identity no matter the circumstances. If Pep was as flexible and pragmatic in his tactics as some want him to be, then he wouldn't be the most successful manager.
