Not saying we shouldn't sign new players in January, but usually new players will need at least one year to be able to fit in Pep's system and play well, unless we can hit a jackpot like Akanji or Dias in the transfer market.
All the more reason to get 5 or 6 young hungry athletic players in this January transfer window

Been handed a bit of a lifeline today, we look shite but so does everyone else relative to their usual standards.

The top teams are playing too many games and they look shite for it. I see a scenario in the future where they sack the CL group games off, scrape through those so it doesn't affect the league form.

Good day with Arsenal and Liverpool failing but we have to get to January with 5 wins (including West Ham on Jan 4th) to get even close to convincing me.

United (H)
Villa (A)
Everton (H)
Leicester (A)
West Ham (H)

Then break the bank for 2 players (1 a holding mid).

Still in with a shot this year. None of the competitors are great on any level to City at their best. If we are close to the title in Jan. get 2 through the door I think we are still in with a shot. Our biggest rivals are ourselves at this point. 3 points tomorrow is huge.

Tottenham away next for Liverpool. Who knows which Tottenham turns up though. Chelsea look like the ones to watch at the moment and we play them at home.

If we hant had the worst injury crisis known to our club we would be pissing the league this year
We'd definitely be higher but I'm not convinced that we'd be running away with it
Yes, we've had some bad luck with injuries, but it's not the only reason that we've been struggling

It is not just bad luck as you put it , losing rodders and kev in particular set us back but then most of the defenders getting injured sealed the misery deal

What we are not doing is pressing and hunting in packs to get the ball back . The only game we did that we won , we still have it in us to do that

I don't think any of us are great sides tbh, and everyone will have a purple patch during the season.

Perhaps ours will come in the new year, who knows, but if we do you can hardly rule us out the way the rest are dropping points.
