Maybe the players should all assemble at the Etihad Campus tomorrow, walk on to one of the training pitches, gather round the centre circle and let their feelings about those not pulling their weight be known in no uncertain terms. Then have a fucking big dust up, sort out who's who and what's what because we're not seeing any fight during the games itself. We need leaders, not necessarily the best players, but the best motivators.

Those not prepared to fight for the team, fuck off now please. I'd rather lose fighting like a cornered tiger than roll over like a sheep. Arses need to be kicked, some players need to sit in a room of mirrors and have a good look at themselves. It's not good enough, nowhere near good enough.

At the moment we're like a fucking hapless wildebeest wallowing around in the mud waiting for the safari to come along and finish us off. Let's not make it easy for them to do that.

He isn’t that old - early to mid fifties?

The thing is he has never stayed anywhere as long as he has here. He has never experienced this kind of slump or requirement to rebuild. Its going to be really interesting to see how he manages it.

I still think that this is all a lack of fitness to key players.

I also think players like KDB, Walker, Silva, Stones - they are not replaceable. There are no others out there like them.

Either we pull it together with everyone finding fitness in time … or…its a real shit season.

I don’t think players will leave January and not convinced they will sign many.

What he needs is literally anyone else that can play in his position so he doesn’t have to play every 90mins. We are actually cooked right now and I don’t know how we recover without buying loads in January - something we will never do.
