Totally agree.
We're not going to make top 4/5 as there are so many sides who are better than us. I'd be quite happy to end up mid table if we play the youngsters. We will find out how good Wright and O'Reilly are for starters. They both played well at Tottenham. Give McAtee an extended run. If he doesn't cut it then we sell him in the summer.
But just playing Walker, Gundo et al and losing is not learning anything.

We are only using our academy for making money and in the end young players will not sign for us as they will see that we don’t give youth a chance I nean probably that could change when the next coach comes after pep leaves but atm our academy is really for selling players.

Doubt it with the amount of City's academy players in top flight football. Looks like a great place to learn your trade, even if you have to move on to fulfill your ambitions.

Control the ball, the pace of the game and possession.

Ours simply has no legs at the mo to get back when teams counter.

This season is a write off, but he would be key to secure CL football. Don’t think we’d get much more than 10-20m for him in January with 6 months left, don’t think that’s worth letting him go for

That would bring in a fee. £10m? It would also take 5 months of £400k-per-week off the wage bill (£9m-ish). I think we probably need to keep him as our squad numbers are low as it is. But I can see why a £19m saving might interest the club, given Kev's current physical state.

We're barely creating anything as it is, saving £19m when you have had 3/4 seasons of pure profit is insane. We need players in to help him, it's as simple as that.

Indeed. Plus if the club were to spend big in January then it makes no sense to weaken ourselves anywhere across the park.
