Grealish or Kev in the middle with Doku out wide? Simpson-Pusey at centre half and shunt Akanji to right back? No guarantee that'd be any better of course, but picking the same once paced, slightly built players over and over and expecting a different outcome, isn't working is it?
I hope they both have fantastic games, but on paper I'm struggling to see anything other than an overran midfield again......
 
Pep likes to play with two wide men as it stretches the opponent's defence when we have a lot of the ball. This team makes more sense as it is narrower and bolsters central midfield where we have looked a bit hollow recently.

Not sure about Pusey but definitely the other suggestion. The game we won v Forest

It would be useful to have 4 fit centre halves to play that system. I imagine if we tried today we'd have 0 or 1 fit centre halves for the next one

That's why people want/demand transfers. We can't rely on Stonesy or Nathan no matter how good they are. We need at least 1 CB, 1 RB, 1 DM, 1 CM with legs/creativity, and a backup striker.
 
Surprised we are going with both stones & akanji after just coming back. Hopefully they both finish the game

Disappointed Gundy starts again he’s exhausted but not sure we have a choice

About as good as it can be & at least we have some attacking options on bench if needed

0-0 no injuries will be a good day
