Aston Villa (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Over the holiday period I am going to go back and watch all these losses the last 2 months.
Could you email your findings to Pep when you’re finished, he looks like he could do with some pointers

Same old shit fucking tactics and set up every week for 90 mins, where is the old Pep who would relish tweaking things and changing things during a game to improve things?

The only tactic that worked in the first half was getting it to Grealish. It took us 10 minutes of the second half to do it again. Ridiculous really.
Stones was hitting that pass because that's one thing he's good at aside from getting injured which he happens to be exceptional at. It's hardly surprising that pass went away when Walker came on

It's a good job the away following didn't turn on the team like some whoppers on this thread.

Free pass this season for every single one of 'em. Pep, players, staff, boardroom, cleaners and the programme sellers...for giving me the greatest 4 years of City winning the fucking lot.

So embrace the shitness this year, sing our self deprecating songs, employ DEFCON 1 gallows humour and we go again next season.

We've been here before, as some seem too easily to forget.

Up the fucking shit Blues.

Hard to argue with that.
Players should be running through bricks walls for a manager that’s given them everything.
Especially now when he needs them most.

it's always one-way matey, Players will throw you under the bus if it means deflecting it from them

But want there wages and fans paying hard earned cash fuck blaming pep all the time these fuckers should be putting a shift in instead of feeling sorry for themselves
And I wasn’t insinuating you were blaming pep I was just pointing out some players are a disgrace
Some should have been moved on before season started then the few who,are they staying or are they going, and it’s become for some going through the motions as they will definitely be off end of this season throw in injuries, aging players and those not up to speed and it’s a recipe for what we are seeing..Pep also has to take some of the responsibility, but it’s now for me a complete overhaul needed all over the pitch ..

I’ve been searching for something positive to say and it’s this…..last week we didn’t deserve to get beaten but today we were completely outplayed and the only surprise was Villa not scoring more goals….

Roll on crimbo…the new year….and most importantly the January window
We played as shit as we did vs united, just that villa are a much better side than the rags

You never thought that the squad would need a rebuild and we might have to go without Champions League football for a season or two? Seriously?

I didn't say that. Every squad has to be kept refreshed and evolving. What I said was I never expected such a huge drop off from where we were and so quickly. One win in twelve is relegation form. We took our eye off the ball and this is the result...and no a squad at the peak of success should never need a major rebuild or miss out on champions league football. They just add one or two top quality players each season to keep the continuity.

Too many touches, especially in midfield and defence. Zero movement from the centre of midfield and distinct lack of anyone wanting the ball.

Pep can call out for all the injured players to come back but whatever he's telling this crop of players to do, isn't the answer either.

The only tactic that worked in the first half was getting it to Grealish. It took us 10 minutes of the second half to do it again. Ridiculous really.
And, as usual, as soon as Cash got booked we never went near him again!
Surely Doku on committing Cash, Gundo off and Grealish in the middle running at them, would have had a chance?

Hesitate to mention this but I feel as if we might not - just possibly - not be the greatest team in the land and all the world at the moment.

We carried on from whete we left off against the scum.

Roll on January and get some new faces in as a reward for that fantastic away support today.

He was bad today.
Just today? He's bobbins, he's honestly (My opinion of course) one of the worst players I've ever seen play at City and I seen the likes of Richard Edghill.

Obviously I maybe over exaggerating a little but I just don't see a decent footballer in him.

Again as I've said before I hope I am proven wrong as he's on of us.
