I think Everton will sit deep and allow us to pass it around in front of them. Unless they make a mistake we won’t score, but they’ll make one. I think they’ll create very little but score a couple.

1 - 2

Confidence is shot. No Stones (shocker) and I’m not sure we’ll see Akanji as I thought he looked to be struggling (again).

I’m hoping he shakes things up. No inverted fullbacks. More legs in midfield and get the fucking thing forward faster.

If Akanji, Stones and Dias are not fit, this could force Pep into naming players who he has been reluctant to play so far.
Possibly O Reilly starting and surely some game time for McAtee.

They will murder the game, again. They will fake injuries, fake cramp and play with a low, low block. They will foul relentlessly and pack the box, defend on their 18 yard line with no space between the lines. Pickford will struggle to decide which side of the box to take dead balls from and if he wants to play short or go long, deciding to go long eventually 9 times out of 10 after being warned about time wasting for the 25th time.

It will be less of a football match and more of a bore fest, unless by some miracle we can score early, remember those days?

We will have 20+ shots mostly from outside the box with 3 or 4 on target. If they ever get in our penalty area they will initiate contact and flop over in Salah stylee screaming for a pen.

It will be a painful watch from a team once capable of destroying this abject Everton side to the shadow that it has now become.

Im not really looking forward to waking up relatively early after a long long day eating and drinking to watch the likely shitshow that will play out. There will be little joy to be had even if we can somehow struggle to a win.

I think as a team and as fans we need to awaken from this torpor, this listlessness, seemingly bereft of effort and guile.

Up the blues. Come on City wake up!

I guess in trainings we will work on service to Haaland, attacking corners, and defending counters. like in past 2 months every trainings.

Buy the lad from sporting and play 442 let's face it we don't look like scoring with 2 pacey guys up top it might work.play 4 natural cbs in defence.get some decent mids who are mobile.

Run a 4-4-2 - back to basics.

Ortega
Gvardiol-Pusey-Akanji-Lewis (no pivot up)
Grealish-Kovacic-McAtee-O'Reilly
Haaland-Foden or KDB

Little hope of that side scoring and little if no hope of that side not conceding.

With all respect if that's the best we can dish out little wonder every side and I mean every side in the premiership would be very buoyed about a 3 point banker.

Sadly you might not be far off with that selection.

The more I ponder about our plight the more I realize how much we have overachieved under Pep and why we have been very fortunate to have him at the helm for as long as we have and although he clearly is not on top of his game this season by any stretch no manager could get this squad as it stands now to anywhere near the heights of the previous two seasons.
