PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

There will come a point that everybody will be answerable for their actions. Whether that he us, as a club, or them, as the PL. It will all come about, from Red tops to our own.

The question is, which side are you on?
 
its very much time to find out the panel's decision. this hanging over us since years is awful. if we are innocent PL have lot to answer for how this could have happened and media portray us so badly for years during our golden period.
if we did commit fraud on this extreme level what the charges say faking information and lying to auditors all along, everything needs to pinned on Berrada lol. but seriously there will be high level victims for this in this case in the club.


still find it strange originally I think Master said the Chelsea case will be handled quicker of their historical but self admitted crimes, yet nothing is done on that case, neither the media is making a story of all this.
imagine it was an ownership change at City and new owner would self report some dodgy thing they found in the accounts from 5 years ago. media would not be so silent as they are with Chelsea.

btw when we should find out about the PSR failures of the most recent period (up to th end of season 23/24 accounts)? wasnt it around this time last season when Everton got their first 10 points punishment.
or if we dont hear it does that mean not one single club failed it?

Am I being stupid ( probably), but how can someone being banged up in a cell for several years have access to data and documents and to continue to hand over data that’s been hacked illegally and still have a remit to publish what he’s been arrested for in the first place?

I have to say that our football has become an increasingly hard watch this last couple of years. Whether that is due to teams working out how to play against us, or the squad being less and less capable of doing what Guardiola wants, or our more creative players getting injured more often, I don't think it can be denied that our play has become increasingly slow and "sideways".

I don't think it's unfair to say that many teams have played more "exciting" football the last couple of seasons.

All imho of course.

Don't care how we win, there's nothing exciting about losing

Which game do you look back on most fondly .... the fairly dour 1-0 win in the 2012 run in against a park the bus rags team or the really exciting seven goal thriller at Old Trafford a few years previously where we conceded at the death to lose it.

Nope, I want a bit of excitement, winning isn't everything.

I disagree. Success in life isn’t as binary as success in a sporting context, there are many different ways to be a winner in life

Regardless, in one sense fans live vicariously through City and have experienced lots of excitement in the last decade

That said, I think some of the newer fans, for whom going to the match is just another entertaining experience like a trip to the theatre or cinema or a visit to an upmarket shopping mall, don’t mind so much about winning. Football to them isn’t such a tribal affair where seeing your team win is really important - but to a lot of fans that’s what sport is all about.

Back in the bad old days fans didn’t bemoan another disastrous result and say “one day I hope to be well entertained at the match”. They said “please god just let me see city win one thing before I die “

Fair enough if that is your view, but then there must be a hell of a lot of bored football fans going to the grounds spending their hard earned money every week. For every winner at the end of the season, there 19 losers, of course.

I see it the other way round, tbh. New fans are the ones who will see excitement in winning. Any City fan who is older than about ten and has been going to watch City week after week has found plenty of excitement in the experience other than winning I imagine, luckily for them.
