Think it was from the big collision a few moments before - probably an impact not a twist which is why he was ok to stay on - thank goodness. His quick passing changed the game for me - that is something you don't coach and hopefully we will see him get many more mins.

If Palmer had done that for Chelsea Sky would be all over it - this lad has great feet and should be playing ahead of Phil on current form. Pleased for him
Fingers crossed-I’ve rewatched the rest and he seemed to be moving fairly well..

Don’t blame him one bit for wanting to leave. He’s been mistreated by Pep, which is something some people don’t want to hear.

If you’re him you’ve got to be thinking, fuck this place I’m off.

If he does leave I wish him all the success in the world.
He certainly didn’t look to be thinking that way after the goal!!

Proved he's more than capable. Produced a moment that secured the win in top level football.

Think he's outdone Brandon Barker @Alan Harper's Tash
I used Barker as an example of a stellar youth player not making it in the men’s game, not comparing him as a player.

Still, he’s dropped a shoulder and beaten a man, so he’s now world class. I know how the rhetoric goes!

Faultless for the 20 minutes he was on. Kept the ball when he had it, was instrumental for our second goal and slowed the game down near the end. He looks a lovely footballer. Please can we see more of him Pep.

Great cameo hope Pep hasn’t done it to put him in the shop window, Phil looks fucked I’d be playing this lad either first 50 or bring him on in the last 30 against tired fullbacks, miles better than Doku.

Really needs to build on this positive appearance. Been hit and miss no doubt, but could come good at some point. Rooting for the lad.

Ive always said the same thing about Mcatee. He looks like he fits in but he just doesn't make an impact, wellntoday he made an impact, that's how you get into this team.

He needed that bit of skill that led to the goal more than anything for his own development but the team needed something else, his willingness to run not jog. Not just going forward but backwards too. He was always seen sprinting back in, never passed on his man and often narrowed up to close the midfield too, that's something we badly lack and I don't think it will go unnoticed by the manager.

He was definitely going to start against salford but he could well now get a significant role against west ham too, big fortnight ahead for him, perform in those games and he's right in the mix.
