Them going down on the final day of the season in the 94th minute would be a thing of beauty .
We've been here before 73/74If city where to finish mid table and win. Nothing but it means Utd get relegated would you take it.
I don't care about where they finish, as long as we finish above them. They are irrelevant to me.Too fucking righ
I second that. Those off us that can remember them being relegated in 74 also remember them pissing the second division and coming back a lot stronger than before. These are my thoughts too. Think they’d romp the Championship and would have momentum when they came back, fuelled no doubt by the media. If they went down for a season, which is the most likely outcome, it would do them a favour and their fans would actually enjoy the experience.
I think I’d rather they stayed in PL purgatory.
Very graphic but I know what you mean. The FOC's amongst us will clearly remember that after being relegated to the then second division, the media wankfest was insane when the rags started to win a few games
Now we have the interweb, if it happened again the world would be flooded with cum, so I'm more than happy for them to continue struggling to achieve mediocrity in the prem
Then they got beat by Southampton in the FA Cup Final. Glory Days!I second that. Those off us that can remember them being relegated in 74 also remember them pissing the second division and coming back a lot stronger than before.
Good old Bobby Stokes. Then they got best by Southampton in the FA Cup Final. Glory Days!
Agree. These are my thoughts too. Think they’d romp the Championship and would have momentum when they came back, fuelled no doubt by the media. If they went down for a season, which is the most likely outcome, it would do them a favour and their fans would actually enjoy the experience.

See what you're saying mate but I've seen it all bar them going down so it would complete my wishlist after winning the treble, doing 4 in a row & having the best player in the world! These are my thoughts too. Think they’d romp the Championship and would have momentum when they came back, fuelled no doubt by the media. If they went down for a season, which is the most likely outcome, it would do them a favour and their fans would actually enjoy the experience.

Parachute payments are calculated on the element of the TV contract that’s split equally between all 20 PL clubs. First season after relegation pays 55% of what each PL club receives reducing to 45% and 20% for the following two seasons.Aren't the parachute payments for relegated clubs more than what the teams immediately above them get just for staying up?
My concern with the scum getting relegated is it could be the catalyst for the massive change the club needs, where as mid-table obscurity and irrelevance could continue indefinitely, a slow painful lingering state of moribund purgatory.
Impetuosity is not a sin.....yes particularly after regaining our FA Cup & Champions League .
