His record prior to joining Frankfurt isn't anything to get too excited about.

Perhaps he's come of age, perhaps Frankfurt's style of play suits him (not sure if they play a similar system to us or not), or maybe he's just going through a purple patch.

Probably a decent option to cover across the front line but not one I'd be distraught about if we didn't sign.

Very similiar career trajectory to Son Heung-Min from what I can read and see.

Started at one Bundesliga club being a talented prospect but no end product, went to another and suddenly added goals to his game and then earned a move to the Premier League in his mid-20's

Frankfurt are currently 3rd in the league, there's 3 points separating 3rd all the way to 9th. There's not a chance they are selling their prized asset mid-season.

Champions league football is achievable for them, not even a stupid offer could tempt them to jeopardise that at this stage.

He will be on peanuts at Frankfurt.

Egyptian journos are known to waffle and jump the gun from what I’ve seen about Salah on socials. So this is far from done, and maybe they’ve just held talks with the club on a possibility.

Its already been known that buying the top players in January who are fighting for top 4 in their leagues would be tough.

It can only happen with a premium cost, 42m (50m euros) was never plausible.

But some of these clubs might have debts or think they need to make a bunch of money now.

If we go 75m (90m euros), they might think twice.
