According to Tuttomercatoweb, City has approached Juventus with an offer to take Luiz on loan for the remainder of the season. However, Juventus swiftly rejected the proposal, signalling their intent to retain the midfielder until at least the summer.

I can't believe I still see comments like this on here when the club has just won 4 league titles in a row and is current world champions. Two bad months, that's all it took.

Because short term panic signings when we need a rebuild for the next 5 years would be stupid. If we can get the right players this month great if not we wait.
Think we’ll get 2 myself.

Recruitment has been poor. No point dressing it up. The previous success has nothing to do with now. At some point we have to stop using it as an excuse.

The legit reasons like injuries fair enough and 4 titles was monumental and mentally draining. Again tho, how long can we use arguments that will hold us back on the field? Next season? Season after.

This isn’t an attack on the current squad or its past achievements but a realistic view that it’s time we start to get our shit together and so far on the pitch we ain’t and off the pitch we need players and so far have none.

Why short term? More excuses.

Go out and buy the right players now.

Panic? What about nunes and Phillips?

The recruitment side is not good enough. Go and buy now and go and buy again in the summer.

Big clubs buy big. It’s that simple. The better players you have the more matches you win.

So far none we might get one or two. If we have to wait for the summer after the last 10 years. No big deal.

I don’t agree. We fucked up last summer and have a chance now to put some of that right. Sure let’s just become one of those teams that takes a season off then.

Football dosent stop. Our period of dominance may never come again. Buy properly now and give pep the tools he needs. Far too many excuses creeping in.

We have had our wobble now get on with it.

The "previous" success? We won the title a few months ago you div. The same team of people who achieved that are the ones you're talking about when you say they should be "fucked off".

It's not about making an "excuse". The point is that you don't succeed by binning elite people off the second the slightest thing goes wrong like an entitled little brat. Absolutely stupid beyond belief.

It's a rumour. There are no concrete links to this player and might not even happen.

This is a complete and utter head loss. We don’t know that City are leaving the midfield a shambles. For all we know there is a midfielder coming in this window. We also know that the rebuild is going to take a minimum of 2 years and that both those years need to be planned. Working on a signing for the summer is a GOOD thing. We need to be doing that. And it’s childish to think that doing that automatically means we aren’t doing something this window too.
