West Ham (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

We were shaky defensively all game but once Walker and Gundogan came on we were a bag of nerves. Sadly Walker is done and Gundogan isn’t physically able to play as a 6.

Better in an attack poor without the ball.

Me too. We were 4-0 up too!

It’s often messy when we make a sub like that as it always involves players shifting positions. We should deal with it better than we do but the game as a spectacle for our fans was over at 4-0 as we went into player preservation mode. Fair enough but not always pretty to watch. The small squad is hammering us this season.

It's the 3rd time Pep has taken Ake off (rightly managing his minutes) and completely shuffled the defence, when the simple change would be the young CB as a straight swap, and leave the rest as they are.

We weren't that great with Ake on the pitch (mostly not his fault), but to make 4 defensive changes when 1 would have sufficed is just madness.

He was actually going to bring S-P on, I saw him run back and get ready to go on, but when Kovacic took a knock he changed it to Walker, who was a complete dusaster area for 10+ minutes, he was so bad I'd have taken him off again.

I agree it should have been S-P for the above reason. Been a lot of muddled thinking recently.
 
Good game today, yes we where poor defensevly Akanji need to wake up and start concentrate and be better when he has the ball, faster decisions. But I think we where good to day Savinho, Haaland mom for me but I think Silva did put in a good work effort today, but want I don’t understand is why Pep brings on Walker and Gundogan we lost the momentum after that very poor subs and why can’t pep se that? We got to have others to sub?

Without a doubt, it is questionable why a public funded broadcaster would focus on negative city stories and angles when we are good and when we are not so good.
 
fortunate to not concede a goal before we did. West ham looked great on the attack apart from putting the ball in the back of the net.

Savinho was very impressive, his assist for Erling in the 1st Half was amazing. Bet he's gutted the goals been chalked off as a OG

2nd half we rode our luck again, but those two goals really helped.

The subs really upset the team and we seemed to play like a pub team last 20 mins!

Kovacic and Akanji were not at the races, Phil went quiet again as the game wore on but glad he got the goal.

Hope Stefan and Erl with their issues during the game are ok,

And weirdly, some keep going, and want a reaction. Subtle digs - yet they don't tag the original quote/post. Just inane accusations and insinuations.

No chance most on here talk to others in this way if face to face.
