They just wanted the visiting United supporters to feel they were at home.
I’m 100% sure the new NS roof won’t start leaking once it’s completed.

Proper gorgeous cladding and fins.
Quite a lot, very similar facade arrangements, both have 'metal' sails attached to the facade, similar panel size and module, etc. It has been one of the recurring comparison buildings on here. Not sure what that has to do with the North Stand project?
Particular poor shot (my very early Digital Camera of the time had a focussing fault unfortunately) I took during the games of the Old North Stand when it was full! Look at that lovely scoreboard/screen, there were actually two at both ends back then. This is the one and only time I ever sat in the Away end at Eastlands! What the temporary (North) stand looked like for the 2002 Manchester Commonwealth Games.

Am I the only one who noticed, about 47 secs into the SS Skies video on 02/01/2025 the lower central part of terracing has been painted blue, the same colour as the terrace beams are being painted.
In the CP Overview video on 06/01/2024 at the same 47 secs onward just like magic it's gone, dropped clanger, really good New Year or both?
Yes it’s a shadow !Is that not the shadow of the existing roof in the low winter sun? The lower part not being in shade as there is a hole. All the other shadows are pointing the same direction

Although could be one epic clarkie!Scroll down this page, see the embedded videos, think it's maybe one new video, no perhaps two, and then see that it's someone has spotted a shadow...
I think we're right though and it's just the angle of the sun now the stand has been rolled into its final position...Although could be one epic clarkie!
I wouldn't rule it out but it looks the same colour as the steel they have painted. Is that not the shadow of the existing roof in the low winter sun? The lower part not being in shade as there is a hole. All the other shadows are pointing the same direction

There you go - a composite shot of all four screens in action in 2002 - it will have only taken us 23/24 years to get that full combo back (assuming they do retro fit screens in the south stand corners!)SO....Two Ends.... North & South.
Were going back to the future with my proposal
Two ends ARE better than one !!

Will you be chief ticket counter on those test days mate??? :-)City will need to hold test events or open days so fans can have a look at around the North stand, pick a seat, and see what the views are like from the North stand.
Everton.
Time is running out for Evertonians to enter ballots for the first two Everton Stadium test events.
The Club announced details of the events last week, with the ballots opening from 10am on Friday 3 January.
The first test event – an Everton Under-18s friendly fixture – will be held on Monday 17 February (7pm kick-off GMT) in front of a capacity of 10,000 spectators.
I'll make sure you don't get a ticket? ;-)Will you be chief ticket counter on those test days mate??? :-)
