North Stand Construction Discussion

Particular poor shot (my very early Digital Camera of the time had a focussing fault unfortunately) I took during the games of the Old North Stand when it was full! Look at that lovely scoreboard/screen, there were actually two at both ends back then. This is the one and only time I ever sat in the Away end at Eastlands!

Brilliant pic.
So that would be SS L2 now in the corporate bit behind the goal so not quite in the away section :)

I'll nip over today and take a couple of pics, I can't see the Drone guys having a look in this weather and don't blame the, I should post the pics about 4pm ish.
Not unless it clears a bit, I tried flying yesterday and the drone propellers were iced up in minutes and the lenses fogged up.

City will need to hold test events or open days so fans can have a look at around the North stand, pick a seat, and see what the views are like from the North stand.

Everton.

Time is running out for Evertonians to enter ballots for the first two Everton Stadium test events.

The Club announced details of the events last week, with the ballots opening from 10am on Friday 3 January.

The first test event – an Everton Under-18s friendly fixture – will be held on Monday 17 February (7pm kick-off GMT) in front of a capacity of 10,000 spectators.

At least one test event will have to take place to get safety certificates etc before the stand can open fully

Can you report back on the underfoot conditions please, I am sure the less agile fans would appreciate some feedback?

Actually spot on - we were right at the front of what is now the South Stand Level 2 close to the middle, just to the East of the N/S centre line - for the Games although Level 1 was buried, there was a late decision to stick another 8 temporary rows between the track and SSL2 - you can see it in this shot (not mine), the seats are slightly different colourGCWP8ZhXQAAhWYL.jpeg

Another great pic. I can see my seat and it seems weird looking at it so low down now. Great to look back - I was there also a couple of times at the Games.

I didn't know that about the front 8 rows or, if I did, it hasn't stuck with me:)

It does mean I was exagerating a bit to my new son-in-law on Boxing Day and his first visit to the Etihad. I was acting as tour guide and historian when showing him around the ground and he was blown away by the size/scale of the NS development and particulary when I said level 1 buried!

Underfoot conditions are really good around the ground, everywhere is gritted including Joe Mercer Way and the Academy Stadium.
Picture added gritting the Car Park
