There's an entire history of **** on Bluemoon, and I'm not just talking about @gordondaviesmoustache

Back in the old old old days, it was frowned up but then new forum software allowed it to be censored entirely. There was a few years at least whereby the forum would make it show as **** or then c**t. This went away eventually (mainly because people were just getting around the filters anyway so it became pointless) but the general rule is that it's ok to call public figures, the weather or your missus a **** but not ok to call it other posters in an argument. In terms of City players/managers then usually it was taken in the context of the post but is generally alright.
I might be wrong on this but I seem to believe that it's still censored to guests.

Haha possibly. Though we still censor that word to members who haven't used the Uncensor option in their Account Profile page because some find that particularly offensive and we don't want it showing up on Google results, especially as Ric is considered the legal publisher of posts on this site.

I have personally lobbied for its return, or rather its exclusion from censorship, on more than one occasion when the board has been beset by episodic periods of Puritanism.

Absolutely ridiculous that that word is censored on a fucking football forum, and moreover it’s a beautiful word; one that I rarely use sparingly except when I’m expressly precluded from so doing!

Awww, that is so lyrical @gordondaviesmoustache :-) I'm almost tempted to try it myself............... whoops it would have been my Dad's birthday today so I daresn't!! I need my ears and anyway in the cold when he cracked you across the ear it blooming well hurt. :-)

I've just tested this and google is so fucking wrong I typed " Rashford is a " and not one of the top page results came back with ****. Some of the top results even claimed he's a football player. Seriously this is why you can't believe everything you read on the internet.

Looking at the undead on the conservative/liberal and labour benches, I'd say the zombie apocalypse has already happened.

Suddenly he became a politician and grew up in mass poverty. The fact he was a millionaire at 17 and funded by United since 12 never seemed to come up.
 
The Rashford thing was always and only a PR driven exercise in growing his ‘brand’.

It did have a positive effect at the time regarding children’s school dinners, but make no mistake this was always and only about pushing Rashford’s brand forward, let’s not forget it was very successful in doing that, the press pushing him forward for a knighthood!

When he is gone from that red leaking cess pit of a club, he will quickly realise who if any are his actual friends.

32/33 years ago.

Coincidentally 32/33 years prior to that they won the EC in 68
...and 32/33 years prior to that, they got their nickname the 'rags'.

One hopes that 32/33 years after 92, they have a similar issues to the mid 1930's. :-)

Could always take a lead from Andrew Marvell's poem, 'To His Coy Mistress' and use the euphemistic metaphor 'quaint' instead, as in the lines:

'..then worms shall try
That long preserv'd virginity:
And your quaint* honour turn to dust;
And into ashes all my lust..'

(* I remember being in an EngLit seminar on Marvell's poetry when doing my first degree and my good pal, Liverpool supporting Mike just didn't get the play on words, so much so that the lady Professor taking the lesson looked at me pleading for me to explain.. I whispered in Mike's ear what it meant and his face went as deep red as his team's shirts, while everyone else fell about laughing..!)
