It’s a bit of a worry that no defender that comes through looks like they can actually defend. All decent enough on ball but we need more than that. I’ve said before that maybe our youth teams have it too easy. They’re winning week in, week out at their level. I admit that I don’t watch them but does them winning easily all the time mean that they never have to do any defending?

Grealish has an assist and I think has been fine on the whole. Gundogan's passing a bit hit and miss but improved as the half went on. They are not going to be as prominent as we might wish because we seem to be trying to get the ball out wide as often as possible, rather than playing through the middle.

Personally I think when we start the likes of Simpson Pusey it needs to be alongside Ruben Dias more so than any other of our centre backs, He's the most commanding and our best leader at the back.

Even going back a few years the top pros still need a leader alongside them for example it was also Vincent Kompany and someone else like Joleon Lescott, Whenever Kompany was missing we had a massive drop off.

Got pelters after saying didn't think he's good enough for us after his last appearance. He does that awful back off and back off until opponent shoots that Stones used to. That on top of no outstanding physical attributes(strength, pace, size) and it's no wonder we're looking to sign 20 and 18 year old cbs from elsewhere.
