Mayhem with MIBs at the game

Thought City fans were brilliant against Salford, lots of older blues and lots of blokes with kids, £10 and £5, was a crackin way to fill the place.
Personally i don't like the posnan but it went round the ground rapid and the kids loved it finishing off with CITY CITY.
watched it back on tv, noticed the bbc blanked out the 'gary neville is a wanker' chant.
Did I hear you cheating bastards you know what you are ? if so why wasnt that blanked out ?

Totally agree. Also as I said in an earlier post a lot of City fans think the rags are a Salford club. OT is in Trafford. I've worked for both Trafford and Salford councils over the years and while people in both those areas are predominantly united fans there are quite a lot of Blues there too. Although the ones I met tend to have a bit of a siege mentality being surrounded by that mob!
Absolute bollocks mate.

Lived in Trafford all my life, worked for the Council for over 25 years, just as many Blues in the South of the Borough as Rags and is the same working for them too.

Were they looking for aliens ?
if so I’m fucked

Loved the way Divin scored on his debut to silence the only audible Salford / rags chant of, “City get battered everywhere they go”.

Yes, great support from young and old alike. FWIW, I get a bit fed up on here reading about “the regulars” missing Cup matches when loads of families love to go when tickets are available and affordable.

There seemed to be a very high proportion of children at this game. I saw that in walking up to the game, on the forecourt, and in the concourses, and stands. I loved that they saw City win this game 8-0 and got to do the Poznan. Things like that stay in a young child's mind forever.

There are more match going Blues in Stretford than rags. It wasn’t always like that of course but most people who say they support the rags never go to games. There are rags who work for Trafford Council from Salford, in my experience.

Eccles, in my experience, is the one place in Greater Manchester where you will still see people wearing rags clobber when everyone else is too embarrassed.

That said, I was in Greggs in Eccles a couple of weeks ago and a lovely old woman was wearing a Utd rucksack and hat. Me and r kid asked her if she was a big Utd fan. She replied “no” and said these were the cheapest items in the charity shop.

I know we have an OSC Branch of City diehards in Eccles btw.

There are always loads of kids at early FA Cup games. It's one of the reasons that giving over the south stand to away fans annoys me. They come to their first game and all they can hear is the opposition fans making a racket. I ddon't believe kids are impressed by Moonchester and free sweets. They want atmosphere and noise. And goals of course.

They would have had a job hearing the Salford / rags fans, Dave!

I have noticed this with the younger ones. My daughter said to me a few weeks ago the grandson is getting really interested in City and she will try to take him next time there is a "cheap" game.
Just made me think it's a shame people view it as impossible to get to a regular game with kids.
Would be nice if the club could offer a few cheaper tickets at least a bit more often, would be good forward thinking.
