We’ve got one striker and wide men who barely score goals. Foden has scored a few lately but the rest of the midfield contribute barely any goals between them. Of course we need him. Sure they know we also need a midfielderDefenders are needed more. We have enough for this season as far as the attack goes.
I was screaming at my tv for him to the replace dand to bring on Doku/McAtee.and what else did phil do ?
But he scored two and look more confident after.
If he gets back to his best we will be fine.

I don’t think it’s just the defence. Ake was immense, I thought Nunes played well despite that chance, Gvardiol with big stops and Akanji was unlucky with that goal. But we lost loads of 50/50’s and kept giving them chances.
You put a consistent midfield in from of them they’ll be fine. The new signings will help with fitness and rotation.
If Ederson was the prime target then he should have really been signed at the start of the season and would have a better chance of signing him then. And those Pep comments. I get it we won 4 in a row and the players deserve the chance to keep it going.
Like all we probably thought Rodri would play (let’s say) 75% of the games and we could scramble the rest with Kov/Lewis/Gundo.

I reckon they have some idea what they’re doing yeah.Day 14 and we’ve made one bid for a much-needed clinical forward which is below their asking price despite days of negotiations. Baffling. But they know what they’re doing. Hopefully.

I don’t think this deal will get done we’ll drag our feet haggling over a few million and either the window closes or some other team comes in last minute and pays what they want ..Really looking forward to seen Mamoush in a City shirt, Creating bag loads of chances for absolutely nobody to put them away :)

It really wouldn't surprise me if that was the case...I don’t think this deal will get done we’ll drag our feet haggling over a few million and either the window closes or some other team comes in last minute and pays what they want ..
It's obviously not as close as some reports are implying, If it was close he wouldn't have been near the starting line up tonight.
