It’s all bollox, if Newcastle had been sugar daddied to the success we have had no one would bat an eyelid. They hate us cos we are on doorstep of the rags.

Yep. When Newcastle play all we hear from the commentary is how fantastic it is for them being taken over and how their fans deserve it. Us on the other hand….
 
I think there would have been a reaction against any non cartel club upsetting the status quo but City's rise since from 2012 onwards, coincided with Fergie leaving the squad in a state and a massive drop off for the media darlings of Sly, the BBC, Guardian and the likes. Being the Rags closest(local) rivals made it worse because the press have allowed them to write the narrative and flat out bullshit about City's history for years now. You only need to look at how lightly Chelsea get off in comparison to City for the same things. Do they react the same when they spend, are they accused of ruining football single handedly? Sensationalised 'unlimited funding' buzzword arguments, as well as the 'this is going to destroy the sport you love' ones(which are both examples of Emotion Fallacies). Demanding more rules to be brought in. Are they asking every week about the ongoing investigation? Are they talking about potential punishments all the time? Part of it is because Chelsea have never managed the same level of dominance City have. Denying United, Liverpool and Arsenal in closely fought title races along the way, is no small thing either but I still doubt the same level of disrespect and bitterness would ever be achievable for any other club. I agree, Newcastle don't get the same level of bitterness as City and I doubt they will, if and when they do start winning things.

The Liverpool rivalry with United, is just a PR driven-thinly veiled ego stroking exercise for both clubs. Theirs exists, mainly because of the 'most successful club' battle. Which only really became a thing in what, the early 00s? Arsenal were closer to Liverpool going into the 90s on major honours, with exactly half the amount(16, United had 15... which put them 4th because Villa were still in 2nd with 18). Liverpool themselves were level with City, Spurs and Blackburn in 1970. Most of the United and Liverpool fans have this fanciful idea that they've both been battling it out for the top spot since the early 1900s or something, which is bullshit.

Can’t quite figure out wether today’s psr news is good for us or if these twats are going to royally fuck us over and let Chelsea get away with selling hotels to themselves and the rags just completely take the piss year after year.

you would think the nature of self admitting these would seriously speed up the investigation and decision on it. wonder what the investigation is even about, if there is more hidden stuff than what was admitted or if what was admitted may not even be as serious worth charging them lol.

can only imagine PL deciding Chelsea were so honest coming forward with this that all they get a verbal warning. or that the club was just victim in this but Abra is banned to own any football club under FA jurisdiction as that will teach him.

I bet the PL is in uncomfortable position over this and they would have preferred none this is self admitted and brought public. impossible they would have dug this dirt out on Chelsea themselves. Boehly may have been told to do this once he found about it from his legal people seeing what happened to us after a hacking or Abra old employees may have contacted him that they keep it as a secret in return for some favours and he wanted to deal with it out in the open than in the shadows. :)

The way the English football press side with PSG (who are everything and more they accuse us of) whenever we play them shows it’s a hatred and bias that far out ways our so called Oil money

PL press release is the equivalent of Nothing to see here . Move along now please .

It's a pantomime . You only need one villain . Too many and the audience starts to go elsewhere . PL needs to protect it's product . They closed ranks .

Remember it's a shell of an organisation, set up primarily for marketing and sales and to create wealth for the Cartel , not for scrutiny and legal enforcement . If they pursued PSR to the letter every season only a handful of clubs would pass muster . One being us . Can't have that . The pantomime rolls on and we are the scapegoats .

I think there's two cases, the self admitting one and then a second one that's currently being investigated. I wonder if the PL have gone to town on these and requesting all emails and docs to find any skeletons in the closet?

I can cope with fans singing that at a match because, let's face it, football fans of all clubs are guilty of singing slanderous songs, especially when playing rivals.

However, the media companies have no excuse allowing such blatantly libellous comments to remain on their websites and you'd hope that City are all over any such comments on media platforms that aren't subsequently deleted. In fact, they should've employed someone full-time to keep a record of them all instead of us fans having to do the leg work all the time.
