He’s trying to line himself up as the Savior, as Blinken tries to broker a deal. Trump talks big, then takes credit for ANYTHING he thinks he can when something happens.
And takes credit for ending the conflict on Day 1 of his Presidency.

To be fair, the majority just want to see an end to it, doesn’t matter how it comes about.

I wonder who will get the rebuilding contracts, there’s going to be a lot going on over there.

The infrastructure is so fucked up it’s hard to imagine how the process even begins and then add into the equation the almost impossible task of getting building permits, labour and materials. The more you look into it the more it seems like an impossible situation

To step away from the Trump whinning for a second:

Pete Hegseth hearing was quite rhe watch. He will be confirmed.

Next!

Blinken is brokering nothing the deal has been on the table for months. It just needed someone to force Netanyahu over the line. No doubt Trumps motives are all about self-aggrandisement but Biden/Blinken could have done this a year ago. They chose not to. Add enhancing Trump's dubious 'anti~war' credentials to their legacy.

Hegseth is going to get confirmed as Secretary of Defens(c)e, and that is fucking terrifying.

The guy wouldn't answer a specific question on upholding the Constitution basically saying he'll do as he's told by Trump, and he also refused to rule out breaking the Geneva Convention on the laws of armed conflict.

In Confirmation Hearing Exchange with King, Defense Secretary Nominee Refuses to Rule Out Use of Torture

Hegseth: “We don't need burdensome rules of engagement” and “[we’re not] going to hand [our] prerogatives over to international bodies that make decisions about how men and women make decisions on the battlefield”

Yes he will.

This sounds like a tortured attempt to not give credit where credit is due :)

Im sure @ChicagoBlue has a good explanation for why this is really is a Biden/Democrat win :)

The contrast is stark with yesterday.
Bondi seems to have met with the Democrats, or at least most of them.
Hegseth appeared to have not bothered to meet the Democrats at all - one after the other, they noted that this was not typical.

Watched Civil War, with Kirsten Dundst, the other night.
Not what I was expecting at all and a really interesting watch.
Dark and very close to the bone without spelling out anyone or any one event that drove this scenario.
However, I kind of hope there is nothing prophetical about its realistic portrayal of how things might go.

I couldn’t get a certain individual out of my head as I watched.

Let's see how Pam Bondi does. Chuck Grassley is doing a decent job setting the stage.
Accepted Biden was elected but refused to answer if she believed electoral fraud took place. She then started going down a wormhole about something going on in Pennsylvania. Realised and swing it back to a stock answer about protecting electoral fairness.

Lady G was so far up her you could see his shoes hanging out of her ass.

The clear refusal to acknowledge that Biden won the election (as opposed to Biden being President) looks like diktat - an orange (formerly red) line not to be crossed. It's quite funny to watch.

Graham was equally weird - a couple of times he seemed to ask a question and then answer it himself.

The number of high-ranking US officials that appear to be compromised in some way shape or form is alarming. Lady G is right up there near the top of that list.

The seven Republican lawmakers that went to Russia for the 4th July, 2018 under the guise of 'warning Russia not to meddle in the elections' are almost certainly compromised. (https://thehill.com/homenews/senate/395719-gop-senators-visited-moscow-on-july-4/).

Of course, there is no doubt in my mind that the head honcho himself is 100% in someone's pocket.

"Hey Vlad. I'll withdraw money from Ukraine and give you what you need in exchange for a Russian Bank Account and a Trump Hotel in Sochi?"

In the context of the hearing's, it is funny to watch. In reality it's a clear demonstration that the legislative process is essentially broken which in turn means their precious Constitution that every single one of them swore an oath to uphold and protect might as well go in the bin.
