This can't be right. It wasn't mentioned when tickets went on sale. I wouldn't have bought them if I'd known this

Unfortunately this is probably the doing of the new Ticket Compliance Officer. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't keep a log of the tickets that don't match up and then take it up with the people whose names are actually on the tickets.
Trip booked
Was unsure if i would bother but why not, booked a place to stay in the 7th Arr.
Fly Manchester to Dublin / Dublin to Paris return Tuesday and back Thursday (albeit the airport miles away - Beauvais Tille but it has a shuttle bus into Paris)
Flights cost £95
Should be a decent enough trip

Who knows mate? It's the Ticket Office we're talking about here. There have been a lot of posts on here about how tourists are getting away tickets. This might be the start of some sort of clampdown.

However I wouldn’t mind betting the tickets turn up in the next day or two and there’s no names on them

I'm guessing this is the French police telling City last minute about the names, I don't know why city would do that.
I'm absolutely fuming, could've bought one myself, but bought one on my mates account wit more points just to be safe.

Names and ID checks, weren’t on the original ticket office conditions, when. they first went on sale!!??

I would guess "digital" tickets are just print at home ones. If that's the case the ticket is a pdf and names can just be edited easily
