PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

have to give credit to Boehly. spent 1.5 billion on transfers, recouped a lot from sales of course, and fucking ripped apart quite a few loopholes.
self admitted Abra's crimes and take it on the chin with a bit of cash fine. I bet he will sell two sheds in the back of their training pitches for the same amount as this fine will be to Chelsea Limited company from Chelsea FC Ltd and spend the revenue on new transfers.

Isn’t it possible that City were also offered a deal and quite rightly told the Premier League where they could insert it?

Martyn Zeigler is totally full of shit about a case that we know about. I can only presume it's the same and a Chelsea account will come along and clarify why he's a bent fucker on this too
He often is full of shit but he’s also been fed snippets in the past that have turned out to be true. IIRC he was the first to report that City had some success in the APT case weeks before the outcome was officially announced. He got pelters from some on here because the timeline he gave was wrong but the main crux of the article was correct. He was also the journalist who went public with the Liverpool hacking story, although it has to be said that Mullock had the story long before Ziegler did but was stopped from running it for some reason.

The proof will be in the pudding on this particular story. In any case, he’s still a slap-headed twat.

Can you imagine the fall out if we were relegated for a lesser offence than Chelsea received a fine for?

Pannick would have a field day
Does feel like this story, if true, might not necessarily be a bad thing for us. Even if we were found guilty of the more serious charges, which I don’t think we will be, it sets a bit of a precedent in terms of the punishment.

Obviously the cases aren’t identical, and a negotiated settlement is different, but there would be similarities in terms of the alleged sporting advantage gained. To have no points deduction for one team, and then relegate (or effectively relegate) another would surely be open to legal challenge.

I did point out around 6 months ago that a financial sanctions agreement was a possibility particularly as it would have been almost impossible for the PL to properly investigate without access to RA and his records.
I was told it wasn’t anything other that wishful thinking. Yes it was but that the fact that there was a vast sum being held back from the original proceeds of sale sort of suggested to me that some sort of discussion almost certainly took place following DD about likely approach.

Especially if the PL has just been dealt an almighty thumping by our great Lord.

They simply might not have the appetite for another fight.

The PL also need quite a large cash injection just to pay their own legal fees, as I’d imagine that Leicester, Everton, Forest and City have told them they won’t be paying to prosecute themselves…..

We get charged with not cooperating when a 3rd party has the information.

Maybe the prem has deliberately set a precedent - our hands were tied blah blah blah

In exchange for voting how the premier league tell them to I’m sure.
Horse trading blended with cover up's, future guarantees sprinkled with incentives, politics mixed with conspiracy, lies intermingled with distortion, tyranny laced with blackmail, protection overlaid with extortion shit piled on shite......
all to stop iccle citeh.

I trust that 1894 have a big celebration planned in front of CB when our 115 victory is announced with Lord David Pannic riding doon Deansgate in a 'popemobile',waving to the multitudes.

Am I correct to say that what Chelsea have admitted to, is more akin to what we have been accused of, than say an Everton PSR issue?

If so, how can we be facing relegation, if a similar breach doesn’t even warrant a sporting sanction?

Were we offered a similar punishment pre tribunal?

You couldn’t get more “typical city” than turning down a financial settlement and then subsequently being relegated into oblivion.
It was the same with UEFA who offered a financial deal. We have confidence in our case.

This cannot be correct surely? How can one club be punished by a pts deduction such as Everton and another gets the OK to pay with a fine?
The PL have been saying for years that a rich club paying a fine is no deterrent and now this.

Seems that it's all about pissing off every 'proper' legacy fan at every club to make more space for tourists who won't give a fuck as we run head first to be a football version of the WWE.
