We see the same every time we enter negotiations. The selling party, and us, have media sources who report on the position of each side. Nearly always, we meet somewhere in the middle, and today Bild reports that 'they won't stand in Oscar's way for a few extra million.' It would be a big surprise for this not to get done...and soon. Who wouldn't want a player destroying the Bundesliga goals and assists chart ahead of Kane, Wirtz, Musiala, and others?

Oh i agree we defo want him but we have no doubt offered quite a few million under what they would negotiate down to?

The bastards eh - fancy expecting him to actually turn up and play thus fulfilling his contractual obligations while we, apparently, piss around over price/add ons ;)
Goes both ways mate. He's up for sale at a price both Moose, his team & City feel is excessive. Out of respect, he's not disrupted the club & refused to play, but he's made it clear it's the move he wants.

If he tells Frankfurt that Tuesday was his last match for them as he doesn't want to risk injury forcing the breakdown of his move, what then?

Evidently, Frankfurt want as many games as possible from the player, plus top Deutschmark from City. I can feel a cake analogy brewing...

you can imagine Frankfurt bosses telling their manager each day if they ask you if Omar will start next game just say yes, he is starting, no reason not to start him.
they played this now 3rd time a row lol.

Ferguson routinely sold top players in their peak years.
He sold some he kept others and he bought some at or past their peak.

Scholes, Neville Giggs all finished their career at Utd under Ferguson when passed their peak Keane was clearly passed his when he left. so was Vidic. He bought in the likes of Sheringham Blanc Owen Van der Saar after peak years.
There are no simple rules in this game we've probably allowed a couple to many to go past their peak at the moment but didn't really regret it with Kompany, Fern and Silva.
