Obviously because there are no quality players there. And we don't want to see dead weight in the team again. Then it is better to wait for the summer to get a real quality player. While for the other positions, it seems that the club can more easily and successfully find movable candidates who will hopefully be good.

I never assumed that. I always assumed we wouldn't sign anyone in January that we wouldn't have signed in the summer as part of our plan for the next 5 years. Seems to be what we are doing. Quiet rightly.

Why is it right not to attempt to salvage this season? Just waste a year of Pep and risk his last season next year being out of the CL?

We need experienced signings who can give us pace, power and athleticism in midfield and someone to take the pressure off Haaland.

I wouldn’t touch that player with a ten-foot pole. He’s already won everything, so who knows how hungry he still is. Honestly, he doesn’t even seem that great, especially as a midfielder. For that position, we need a completely different profile of player.
