That would seem, to me, to be a good deal for all parties assuming Cambiaso is as good as he is said to be. I haven't seen him enough to form any judgement, but a player comfortable at full-back or CDM seems to me to be ideal: no top player is waiting for Rodri to be injured before they get game time.

We would be foolish to dismiss Ake necessity to be in the back line, who is as good a defender as dias and better passer, just unfortately made of glass like many of our CBs

tbf if cambiaso comes off I would like to see pep use him and Gvardiol as wing backs and a back 3 (rotating Khush, dias, ake, reis)so a solid 5 man defence with attacking options

we could then negate the lack of a DM and drop debruyne back in a regista role similar to Pirlo in his later years with 2 AM ahead of him and Haaland and Mamoush up top.

Though they are not a serious club but still most clubs will start away from Walker. His antics are additional baggage

Played 45 times in cm and same at full back so I' would imagine he will play both while he is here.if of course we can get this over the line fingers crossed top player.
