Erling Haaland signs 9.5 year new contract!

Not on bbc sport or sky sports website. Brazil saying what’s gonna motivate him on that money boiling piss

And people doubt his commitment to the club. This Norwegian man is loving it at City.

Come on Trev - let us have a couple of hours of joy before you bring us crashing back to Earth mate.
It’s not crashing down to earth, there’s a microscopic chance of the charges sticking imo. It’s just common sense - players even have clauses for just regular relegation. It’s normal.

Now this is slightly off-topic, but isn't this some loophole Chelsea could exploit?

Sign players for 5 years or lower, then extend immediately to the length they actually want.

Tbf he’ll have release clauses in the event of suddenly being demoted a few divisions. Nobody knows the outcome of the charges yet, not even City.
I think City probably do

Why wouldn't they just wait to negotiate this until after the decision if that was the case

Nah, they were using it as a loophole for amortisation before they changed the rules. That's not really an issue for us, because his transfer fee was fuck all.
