Erling Haaland signs 9.5 year new contract!

I'll add a differing view and expect to be shot down but here goes.....

I'm loving the piss boiling that the announcement has caused. Watch Cuntbridge self explode is a lovely thing.

But what if EH was a 18 year old striker breaking through this season? Would you offer a massive deal like this? He's been well below par this year and (hope I'm wrong) if he doesn't improve, we're saddled with a £250 million outflow, just to one player.

Of course when he's smashed 40 goals by the end of the season this will look like a bargain. And imagine the fee we'll get in 2029 if a release clause is triggered.
Go to bed, appiness may not be for you !!

Even in this “below par” season he is still the second top scorer in the league. The fact is he’s been with us now for 2 and a half years and his record is phenomenal. He isn’t an 18 year old striker breaking through, he’s the best striker in the world who we have continually been told is using us a stepping stone to Madrid, committing effectively the rest of his career to us.

Add in the wider context of what this potentially means re the charges, then yes people are elated.

I think City fans underestimate what a great club this is not only to manage but to play for. Great fans who don't instantly get on the teams back if results are not good, educated enough to know you can't win all the time. A board that backs the manager and doesn't interfere, but backs you totally, it's a dream job. Compare that to the rags or dippers, utter deluded twats from top to bottom.
Wonder how many empty seats there'd be at Old Trafford if they were in the 3rd tier. I mean, it's a long way from London just to watch crap football...

City have secured potentially one of the best ever strikers in the world and a PR figurehead for the PL brand if he is.

How do we get treated? Like cunts.

Fuck em.

Come on Techno Viking you have the chance to become THE greatest premier league striker. Ram it down their throats.

Erling Haaland is the best striker in the world for a few years now. This is the best contract extension deal we have ever made. It sends a huge message to the world, saying that we are at the top, and we are here to stay. Our current form is irrelevant. A new City generation is coming, and we will win the Champions League a few times in the next 10 years. I am sure of it. Don't even get me started on the Premier League.

Crazy some people don't see it ? 22 So far 22 goals this season and we are struggling (The Whole Team)

Fucking what ifs. What if he was shit, would this be a good deal? No it wouldn't Einstein. Jesus fucking wept.
Some of the opinions on this forum never cease to amaze me. And that's before we talk about the match threads. But hey everyone is entitled to their opinion, I guess. Though I'm in discussions with the admin about banning opinions. Fingers crossed.

;-)

Haaland is one of the most famous players in the world.
Tourists will rock up and pay big bucks just to see him.
And he has chosen to sign a nine-and-a-half-year contract with Manchester City.
This is a different league to anything we have seen before.
It is a new world. And it's a statement.
BANG!
They can pour all the cold water over it that they like.
This is like the launching of the first Dreadnought.
This is the new reality.
