RIP Denis Law

Saw him play in blue and in red. One mid-week afternoon c.1963 (?) I was at Swinton v. Widnes R.L. Cup replay at Station Road, turned around and Law and Charlton were stood there on the terraces, they'd come over to see the match after training finished at O.T.

My favourite Law story. England v Scotland; Law really clatters Charlton; from his position on the ground Charlton asks “What on earth are you doing, Denis?”. Law replies: “You are nae playing for United now, Bobby.” A great player.
RIP Denis Law.

Didn't he go playing golf when England took on West Germany in 1966?

RIP Denis, 2nd debut against Birmingham was first City game i went to

RIP, a real Manchester football legend. The highest goal scorer for Manchester clubs. Revered by fans of both clubs a gentleman and a footballing great. I never saw his first debut, but I was there for his second… though I got arrested and locked up.

Wasn't there a game where he scored 4, the game got called off due to bad weather, and we ended up losing the replay?

RIP.
