Its almost like dereliction of duty picking that midfield.

Midfield 3 of Gundo, Kovacic and Kev is frighteningly slow

No sign of Ake, and no defenders on the bench other than Alleyne - so any defensive injuries are a worry - or just having them all fit enough to survive 95 mins.

That Grealish and McAtee cant get in the midfield shows they are not doing enough for Pep to trust them - I would have hoped one of them might get in ahead of Gundo.

Our best result in recent times was beating Forest with Grealish and KDB in CM but hasn't been tried again since really.

Aside from the evident concerns with that midfield (legs, duels, recovery etc) when Gundo came on against Brentford he pushed up the pitch. With Kovacic's lack of positional awareness at 6, that is a really risky pairing to have in midfield.
